Unpaved road of about 800m to 1 km to reach the property. But our Renault Clio covered it with ease the whole week. Just need to not be in a rush. Nearby beach and town (Faula) not the most beautiful on the island. Property is about 20-30 min away from most good restaurants. But then again, this is the reality of going on holidays in Martinique; one will need to drive around to reach most attractions on the island.

Clean, in great condition, very well furnished. Fully equipped kitchen. Patio area and pool are great! An oasis of relaxation and rest! Great service from manager! Early check-in and late check-out offered, given that conditions allowed it.

True immersion in a relaxing tropical Eden

Though minor (and luckily only needed in a few instances, as we were truly seeking to disconnect during our stay), it is good to keep in mind that the WIFI is not always very reliable. Also, while not a major issue (and contributing to the sense of being remote from it all), the last stretch of the (mostly big gravel) trail road leading to the property can get a little sketchy, especially after a heavy downpour, but nothing that our rental car could not handle with some caution and patience. Finally, be aware that while all beautiful, private and well equipped, not all villas on the property benefit from the same views, especially of the ocean (something that was not quite obvious from the photos and descriptions on Booking, which lists several villas on the property), with only 2 villas truly facing the ocean unobstructed (i.e. without other villas and vegetation in between) and benefitting from open views of the water/beach area. So, if critical to your experience, you may want to cross-check/communicate with the owner prior to booking to clarify location of the villa you are considering.

Our family of 5 had a fantastic and relaxing time at Palm Villas - We particularly enjoyed the beautiful, serene and private tropical landscaping around the property, the views on the surrounding hills and the ocean, the easy access (steps away literally) to a great and scenic local coastal hiking trail that also leads to a beautiful swimming spot in a Mangrove-bordered lagoon (there is a small beach area near the property, but not really a beach to hang out and swim), the private, spacious and very well appointed villa (we ended up cooking most nights, and we found the kitchen well equipped), the private pool, and the welcome local drink upon arrival We also appreciated the very responsive, thoughtful, flexible and guest-centered support from Pierre-Henri (our local contact for the Villa) throughout our stay (we had a few issues to deal with during our stay and in all cases he was prompt to communicate, and always put himself in our shoes -- as travelers who had come a long way to be there on vacation -- when trying to find a solution or providing us with the needed information). We also liked that the property was a little off the beaten paths and in a less "touristic" area on the island (which we liked, but this also means that it takes a little more time to get to those more "touristic" sites and beaches, though everything on the island (even nearby destinations) takes a little longer to get to anyways, as one must drive mostly on small windy (and at times mountainous) single-lane roads :-)
