Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaI was in Malta as I had to attend to some tests at the hospital, so I had to stay in the room for most of the time thinking that the satellite tv was ok, however to my disappointment there were hardly any stations that I can understand. Couldn't watch the football game on Sunday! Informed Front Office several times but to no avail. Another issue was that in the bathroom there was a broken tile, dangerous for me, and the balcony door was very hard to open.
Dinner at the restaurant was good but only buffet and I have mobility problems so the waiter had to assist me in choosing my food. There should be also an A' La Cart menu. B' fast fine Front Office Staff very helpful- Rocco exceptional and his team very well mannered

United KingdomThe lifts are very slow to come when pressing the button. We know the outside pool was seasonal but think if we knew it was comp!early closed with workmen drilling all day we would not have booked this hotel, too noisy and only a small terrace open to sit in the sun which you had to share with smokers.
Good location although road up to centre is dark on a night and full of workmen during the day. Lots of restaurants to choose from on evenings within a short walk. Local buses to get you found and rep in hotel for further afield trips. Lots of choice for breakfast and plenty of tables available.

NetherlandsThe elevators are a bit old and feel like they could use a little maintenance. Unfortunately the outside pool was closed in March (16⁰C and sunny), the inside pool is a bit small and shallow. The room was a bit noisy, we got a room that connected to the neighbours by a door. We could hear everything our neighbours did, so keep that in mind. The room felt a bit humid, and the ventilation in the bathroom wasn't great which showed by the expansion of the wood in the bathroom door.
The breakfast is amazing, the location is very close to shops / restaurants / public transport. The view (we had a room without sea view) was still absolutely beautiful - we looked at yachts. There are two pools. You can book the hop on-hop off bus at the hotel. The room has both UK and European outlets, as well as USB ports. Beds are comfortable.

United KingdomThe lifts were sometimes very slow, and the hairdryer was very low powered. Adjoining doors also allow for a lot of neighbourly noise to filter through, not great at 7am.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a huge selection and very delicious. The hotel was very clean and the views of the bays from the balcony was beautiful. A nice bar area with plenty of individual seating areas.

United KingdomThe bathroom in our superior sea view room was small with little storage space. As you enter the bathroom you are faced with the narrow vertical edge of the glass shower screen and it would be very easy to walk into it if you are not careful, causing injury to the face - quite dangerous. The breakfast experience is a bit of a noisy bun fight. The jazz recordings are harsh on the ears, there is one toasting machine for 500 people, queues at all stations and the sheer weight of numbers of hotel guests talking to hear themselves over the taped music in a large tiled area is not a pleasant start to the day. To be fair there were a number of youth football teams staying in the hotel when we were there and this might have made the hotel busier than normal for the February off season.
The hotel was well located at the end of a point in St Julians bay with beautiful views over the Med. The main foyer with the little alcoves with works of art on the wall worked very well and the open aspect on arrival at reception is quite striking. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomJust a couple of small points: the dining room has little character and the chairs & tables are rather functional; the travel kettle is fiddly to fill, holds little water and - basically - is an outdated item.
Just about everything was very good, in particular all staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the entire place was spotlessly clean.

MaltaBreakfast wasn't bad, but not the best, room to improve, also didn't like that some guests were filling their own used plastic water bottles to fill up from the water urn in the Breakfast dining area and actually connecting their sipper to the urn's tap, very unhygienic, staff were in attendance so they could have put a stop to it. On another note, on our first day, indoor pool was closed, no one informed us, it did open the next day, but wasn't heated for the rest of our stay, which is disappointing as one of our primary reasons for our stay was to relax and enjoy the facilities, particularly the indoor heated pool.

IrelandOne of the reasons that I booked the hotel was because it offers an indoor pool. At the time of booking it was not mentioned that the indoor pool would be undergoing maintenance.
From the moment we arrived until we leave, all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is very varied and there're options for all tastes. The room was very big and the bed very comfortable, the view from the room was beautiful, breathtaking. The location of the hotel is next to the center, so you can find restaurants, markets, etc. Public transport is also close by and very easy to use. Overall, our stay at the hotel was very good.

United KingdomUnfortunately we were expecting the outside pool to be in use as it was the same time last year. However, most of the outside terrace was cordoned off and inaccessible which was a huge disappointment for us all as we were not informed of this before we arrived as if we had been, we would have been able to find alternative accommodation with an outside pool. Then on the Tues, an extremely loud numatic drill started at 10am-3.30pm which was most annoying too. The hotel very kindly gave my friends booking directly with them a 20% refund so I would like the same refund for this please too.
This is the second time of visiting here and the reception we received was delightful yet again. The food and drinks were very good and the staff were all very accommodating. I will definitely be returning once the pool is fixed.
