GermanyThe staff is not keen to be helpful. The hotel provides SPA services but doesn’t provide slippers. once requested, the front desk said the hotel run out of slippers. 4-stars hotel! No sparkling water in the lobby bar (“please find sparkling water at the caffe”). Man, bring the water, why should I look for it?

SlovakiaTerribly small room for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids - 11 and 13). Very noise environment, sleep interrupted by noise neighbors. During our stay hotel hosted European Eight Ball Pool Championships and to be honest I have never experienced such a noise visitors.
Good breakfast and dinner buffet. Inside swimming pool. Reception helped arrange taxi to airport. Public transport is good and covers almost all points of interest.

United KingdomIt was unsafe, dangerous and dirty. I travel to Malta every month and chose this hotel this time as the last time I stayed in April I had a positive experience. However the room I was in this time is not fit for guests. Cleanliness was an issue, there were hairs in the bathroom on arrival that remained there even after 2x daily cleans. The shower drain is blocked meaning I had to stand in the dirty water. The balcony door had clearly been broken into from the outside which made me feel unsafe. Electrical socket loose on the wall - dangerous. There were other issues however these were the worst and completely unacceptable. Have been contacting the property since 19th January to deal with this but being ignored by the hotel. Shocking service.

GermanyWe are in a room just next to a bus stop. It is very loud. Also, the weather of the last two nights we stayed are very bad, but we did not expect that the winds and rains came into the room! (Its very loud with the wind again......) Overall, Its very hard to sleep due to the noises. On the other hand, there is no regulation on the breakfast buffet, so that many guests just talked when they picked up their food, quiet disgusting. I only took Coffee and cookies in the end.
Breakfast was fine. There are multiple things to choose but did not change over the 5 nights we stayed.

MaltaThe children where expected to act like robots in the pool. No splashing was aloud and no children where not aloud to where there swimming shoes either. I was under the impression it was family friendly. Also the AC was only put on heating only and it was the hottest weekend in December in 60yrs. Malta is always hot and we we not able to sleep for 2 nights when complained they only gave us 1 fan between 4 people. It was so suficating.

MaltaSpa is a disgrace as staff requested a reservation to use the spa pool. We only had 1 night so it did not make any sense and they only book you for 1 hour at the spa pool. Gave a review on google and was being denied by the Management that it always has been like this. I can assure you that in my 10+ stays I never was asked for a reservation at the Spa pool and simply asked for towels and went in. When staff members lie and ridicule you that what you are saying is not true, then you know it has gone downhill. Maybe things changed because it's winter time and everyone would use the Spa pool, but if that is the case at least be honest about it. You cannot fool a frequent visitor that had no issues before and call them liars. From this experience I don't think we will be visiting the Dolmen again, and soon enough I see the hotel closing down if this outrage is enforced.

IrelandUnfortunately the end of our holiday was marred by the fact that both of us got food poisoning from the food we had at lunch on the last day of our stay. We suffered very badly during the night before an early flight home. This was mentioned to the staff member on reception at 3.30 am as we were waiting for our taxi to the airport. This is the sole reason for the low score on the review, if this had not happened I would score the hotel a 9, or even 10. We both ate the burgers at lunch, despite my better judgement. Lesson learned, always trust your first instinct! I would still recommend the hotel, just be careful what you choose to eat there.
Our room (Junior suite with sea view) was perfect, it was so nice to have a separate sitting area that wasn't in the bedroom. There were also ample storage areas for clothes, shoes and luggage. My wife enjoyed being able to go for a swim in the sea from the Amazonia part of the hotel. We liked that the Delos cafe/restaurant was included in the all inclusive package as some days it was nice to have a change from the food in the Menhir restaurant, which in my opinion was very repetitive with little variety in the options each day. Most of the staff members we encountered were very friendly, especially Marina in the buffet restaurant, she always had a genuine smile and a lovely welcome for us.
