The host was lovely and sent messages with suggestions of places to visit. Rather than walk up the hill and back down again, the harbour road is flat and takes you to the ferry to Valetta. There is a great new shopping centre at Shoreline, which is not too far away, there is a very good supermarket with a wide range of food.

Not much. You could hear people in the bar down below but it didn’t bother us much at all. It wasn’t rowdy or into the early hours.

The flat was very spacious and comfortable and the little balcony had a lovely view and was a nice place to sit.

The accomodation is outstanding : large comfortable. All facilities are present. The location safe, calm and the view from the balcony is wonderful. Last but not least the owner is an excellent anchorperson who's making your stay enjoyable. Will go back soon !!

A small thing, the toaster was reported to not be working, but not replaced during our stay.

Spacious well equipped apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Lift access to both floors via separate key was excellent. Large balcony with stunning views over the Harbor.

Nothing really. An information sheet with things like WiFi passwords, rubbish collection times, eating out etc would be handy, but in fairness Ivan tends to cover this on WhatsApp so not a major issue.

It was our second stay at Droplet although we’ve been visiting Kalkara for several years. Ivan has created four great apartments with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The position is good with great views across the harbour to Birgu. Ivan is a great host and whilst he prefers contact via WhatsApp - he responds almost immediately. A couple of tips… The door locks use an App rather than a physical key, Ivan sends you details of this in advance. Don’t leave it to the last minute to familiarise yourself with it, take five minutes to download and have a look at the app before you turn up at the door. Don’t worry, it’s easy enough and far more secure than a normal key but best to ask questions in advance rather than get in a muddle. Secondly the TV has an App called Tivimate which provides live TV for other countries including the UK which is brilliant - we didn’t realise this on our first visit but made good use of it this time.

Nothing, everything was perfect

First of all, the apartment was in a wonderful location, directly in front of the sea, on a nice and quiet square, with a bakery and mini market right at our doorstep. To enter the apartment there's a system of keys via an app which allowed for an extremely flexible check in, which we needed as our plane landed super late during the night. We were welcomed by fresh water and beverages in the fridge, a few snacks and coffee for our breakfast, very much appreciated after our travel. And finally, the host was extremely helpful, with many suggestions for our sightseeing, visits and general tips for our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, equipped with air conditioning, and everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable and pleasant. A very nice treat!

Coming from Thessaloniki, Greece. The most amazing accommodation I have stayed in, so far. In every aspect. Beginning with the view to the small port next to the well-kept square of Kalkara! The apartment was more than well equipped. Ivan, our host, was interested in knowing how we spend our holidays and kept informing us for everything that woud help us...I hope I "ll be there again!
