Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaThe doors in the apartment tended to get stuck (both in the rooms and the bathroom), which created a lot of stress as there were clear signs that they have been previously broken out to get out. The electric kettle in the room did not work, when we asked for a substitute, we received a replacement that worked, but had a huge crack and leaked all the time. The socket adapter we bought at the reception desk (there was no option to borrow it for the stay) did not work and we had to return it. The hot plate had only one working spot out of two. The lightning in both rooms was so dim, that it was not suitable for reading. The shower hose leaked badly. The floor in the bathroom was wet constantly as there were some major problems in the pipe stand - the sounds it made resembled a horror movie and it leaked water. There was an insufficient number of cutlery for four persons, the dishes had to be washed before using as they were of dubious cleanliness. There was no cutting board, no paper or kitchen towel. There were roaches in the kitchen cupboards. The soundproofing was so bad, that we heard the talks and movement of all the neighbors around us, living next to the elevator did not help either. Parking near the apartment was problematic, as it was difficult to find a free spot.
A few sightseeing locations (like Aquarium and Old car museum) were at a very short walking distance.

United KingdomI was happy to come back in this friendly hotel for the second time in 2024. The staff is always there to help and assist you with a great smile. Rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast has plenty of choice. Location is perfect as it's close to the main bus stops in Qawra. I will be definitely come back.

AustraliaThe room was dated and lots of things didn't function perfectly - think windows and doors that didn't lock (not the main door), we needed to call for assistance with the shower head, there were fans in all of the rooms but only one worked etc The kitchen does not have everything you would expect to be fully self sufficient- eg no toaster and only one pot & pan, no oven only a small cooktop. The rooftop pool was not as the pictures described and instead was a small above ground pool in a lack lustre area. You had to walk through the first bedroom to get to the bathroom and main room. The first bedroom had no window. There was no parking onsite and on street parking in the area is available but always busy (as it is free).
24 hour reception was available as flights arrived late in the night. The staff were friendly. The location was good and the view from the main bedroom window was lovely. There are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. There were 2 new air-conditioning units in our room. The units were a good size.

North MacedoniaThe smell of mold present in the rooms, especially in the bathroom was unbearable. The towels and the sheets were old, dirty and worn out. Not once during our stay did they bring us new towels or sheets. Overall the rooms stink, are full of dust and need some serious renovations. If only they renovate the rooms and buy new towels and sheets, the hotel would be perfect. P.S. I was checking now the reviews and as i can see Malteser and Donna are leaving quite a lot 10 star reviews. Keep in mind i received a mail from Donna asking me when would i arrive…
The location of the Hotel is the only good thing, it’s 3 minutes away from the main bus station where all the buses pass by. There are also stores, bars and restaurants on the same street.

MaltaBasically it ruined further more my relationship. We actually went there to try to save our relationship and my partner needed to swim medical wise. The pool was horrendous and ridiculous. He was so angry when he saw the pool that we had to leave immediately. He blamed me as I made the booking. When I was searching, the pool looked so beautiful in the picture! It actually represents the complex itself!! What a cheat!! It’s not nice to fool people in such way. I just threw €167 away. And there is no chance that we can go for another break now… reason 1 is we are financially broken, reason no 2 is, my partner is still mad at me. I am a very disappointed customer. Hey I plead a recompense

BahrainUnfortunately the rooms are very old and very dirty. The air conditioning is very noisy and can’t be blocked by ear plugs. There were no towels and when I asked for some I received three of the dirtiest towels I’ve seen in my life, that I wouldn’t even use for the floor. Also the electrical socket isn’t conveniently located so you can’t charge your devices by your bed.
Decent location and nice staff

United KingdomThere was an instance in which the cleaners didn't change our bins or replace our towels even when we followed what had been asked of us for this to be done and then it was really hard for us to get clean towels until the following day. The cooking facilities are also next to none, the hobs are old and dated and the utensils are minimal - if you intend to cook here, bring your own chopping knife! Also there is the impression that the pool on the roof is built in but it isn't and is a tub on top of the roof, but it is pleasant and clean. If you intend to do a lot of swimming in the pool though, this isn't achievable here.
The hotel reception staff working there were really friendly and helpful, they were really knowledgeable about the area and gave you good advice on how to get to different places. We arrived really early and the staff were really accommodating in allowing us to drop of our bags and use the bathrooms and then rang us once our room was ready. It is in a really good location, close to bars, restaurants and the waterfront so easily accessible to get to other places!

MaltaThey distorted my days..
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far below the standards I expected and led to considerable discomfort. 1. **Air Conditioning Issue**: Upon arrival, the room’s air conditioning was not working. 100times i called them to fix ac, Mid night around 12.30 they proved temporary unit , it was insufficient and caused significant issues. The next morning, I discovered that the room was flooded with water due to the temporary air conditioning unit. This caused damage to my belongings and created an extremely uncomfortable environment. 3. **Early Departure**: Given the unacceptable conditions, I was forced to leave after just one night, despite booking and paying for a two-night stay. I believe the standards of your hotel should ensure such incidents do not occur. Given the circumstances, I request a full refund for my stay. Additionally, I would appreciate an explanation of how such issues will be prevented in the future to reassure potential guests of your commitment to quality service.

AustraliaThe room is quite big, and the balcony has gteat views of the ocean and the nightly fireworks display from the domed aquarium area Unfortunately, the room had a mouldy smell., especially around the kitchen /sink area. Only one plug works in the room. The one above the stove, near the air extractor. .I had to plug the hair-dryer in this kitchen plug, to dry my hair. While the lamps in the rooms are in working order, those plugs didn't work for the in-house hair dryer or my phone charger. The wall mounted fan can only be switched on and off, from the plug. The string that hangs from the fan, to switch it on and off, is broken. Doesn't work. I had to get on top of a chair to reach the switch to turn on/off the fan. The room needs a bit more love and care by the owners.
Location is perfect! Close to the beaches, restaurants, shops, supermarkets , pubs .

United KingdomIt was disappointing staying at Qawra Holiday Complex. The experience did not meet the expectations set by your advertisement, and I would like to detail the issues we encountered during our stay. 1. **Kitchenette Facilities:** - The ad stated that a kitchenette is included, but the amenities were severely lacking. For example, while washing up liquid was provided, there was no sponge. - The cupboard was full of dishes, but every single dish was dirty prior to our use. - The drawer contained spoons and butter knives but no forks. Despite asking the housemaid for forks and her noting it down, we did not receive any until we had to go and ask the reception the following day. - The electric stove, like the ones you take for camping, was outdated and took about 10 minutes to produce any heat. Additionally, while there was a pan (barely usable in the first place as it was so worn down and food would stick to it) there were no utensils to cook with e.g. a silicone/wooden spoon, forcing us to use a regular metal one. - The kitchenette had no natural light, and the bulb produced very weak lighting. 2. **Housekeeping Integrity:** - We left a couple of euro coins on the table to test the cleaners' integrity, and they were gone upon our return. This led us to request a "do not disturb" sign (which was not initially provided) because we no longer trusted the staff. 3. **Bathroom Condition:** - The bathroom was poorly maintained. The bath had holes that were DIY plastered but not sanded, resulting in a rough and unattractive surface. The ceiling was also painted over which looked to be covering mould, as there was mould between the tiles in the bath. I have attached photos. - The ad promised free toiletries, but there was not even hand soap. There was a soap dispenser in the bathtub, but it was practically empty and barely functional, forcing us to purchase our own toiletries.
The location was good but that’s about it
