Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo major issues, but being very picky and considering it`s a 4-star hotel: - air conditioning stopped working at around 1am in our last night - thankfully this only happened in the final night and had a minor impact on our stay - I would`ve expected some natural juices included in breakfast rather than those massively sugary machine ones - seemed a bit harsh to charge a 5-Euro fee to change the pool towel, although understandable from an environment point of view
The hotel is really great. Staff were very helpful and willing to help at all times - special thanks to the parking staff who were very patient with me whilst I figured out how to drive the car on the opposite side of what I`m used to! haha Hotel facilities were amazing. The rooftop pool with views of the sunset is definetely the highlight. Also enjoyed eating and drinking at the rooftop bar which had fairly priced products. The room was spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was brilliant (although it did stop working in the last night for no aparent reason). Breakfast wasn`t included in the rate, but was certainly worth paying for. Good variety of food and beverages including cakes, pastries, cheese, fruits, and full English breakfast! Locations was also a positive: lots of restaurants around and easy to get to basically anywhere in the island if you have a car. Will certainly stay again when I return to Malta.

United KingdomThe breakfast was same every day. Few options, but same. The hotel it's quite far from any bay/beach. You have to take the bus. It's impossible to walk 30 mins to there on that heat. Buses are working perfectly.
The roof pool and bar are excellent for relaxing and getting cooler. Perfect of watching the sunset and taking pictures too. The dinner options and desserts were different every day. Good location for restaurants, coffee shops, mini market etc.

United KingdomIt would have been great to have been supplied with towels to use for the swimming pool, we had brought some beach towels, but it would have been an extra nice touch to have towels to use. Happy hour was between 4-5pm, which felt too early, I think it would have made more sense to have from 6-7pm. it is not a hotel to choose if you want small and intimate, as it does cater for a large number of guests, but it never felt overcrowded, and you could always find somewhere to sit at the pool.
The room was large and comfortable, with fruit to eat, a fridge and a coffee machine, including a large deck to sit out on, we were on the sixth floor, so had great views of the surrounding area and were only one floor away from the roof top swimming pool. The hotel staff were accommodating, and it was very helpful that we could leave our bags and use the facilities, as we had a flight later in the day. The buffet breakfast in the morning offered a wide variety of choice, especially enjoyed the fresh fruit. We were travelling round by Malta buses, so it was even better to find that the bus from Valetta stopped outside the hotel, which also took us the to port to get a ferry to Gozo (about 15 mins by bus) and to the beach (around 5 minutes by bus), which is sandy with lots of chairs/umbrellas available to hire. We also found some lovely places to eat at the church square and the old bakery further up the road in town, be prepared for quite large portions!

Romaniawe arrived at around 1 o'clock in the night, tired after a delayed flight and the receptionist asked us for the payment for the room. It took us some minutes to solve it but with two children almost sleepy it was a little bit unpleasant. But everything was solved in the morning
A lot of options for breakfast(english breakfast, cereals, fruits, salads, cakes etc), the rooftop pool, the location(the bus station to the beach is on the other side of the street, the Valleta bus is at 200m, supermarket and restaurants nearby etc), the personnel(for example Marie from the reception desk and the ladies from the Bellini restaurant), luggage room(card entrance), the climatization of the room

United KingdomThe pool is tiny,in 4 days ,haven't used it once, and when we returned later in the night expecting to be less people,it was too dirty to dip in. Some people were even smoking while in the pool. Disgusting. The breakfast buffet is ok but if you stay longer than 3 days you'll end up eating the same thing . They should try to change it at least once a week.
The location is good, short drive or bus ride to the ferry for Gozo/Comino,also there are couple of shops nearby(food, towels etc) . The staff is also great, friendly and good attitude.
