There needs to be more information provided for visitors, easily and immediately available for example: how to use the media and internet, local places to eat and shop, any food delivery services, emergency numbers etc. It would be nice to find water and milk in the fridge to welcome late arrival. Spare rubbish bag, would also be welcome. Some of the outdoor furniture covers need to be replaced.

Nothing was bad. Just know that you need a car really for getting into flic en flac and surrounding areas. And given we stayed 8 nights a complimentary clean during the stay would have been welcomed rather than being offered to pay for one. But the stay was great overall.

The facility was not cleaned well before our entry. During our 7-day stay, there was no subsequent cleaning of the apartment or replacement of towels. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking appliances, but the availability of dishes and utensils for preparing food is much scarcer compared to other apartments of this type in which we have stayed.

The apartment (penthouse) is very spacious with a huge terrace with BBQ place and a beautiful view of the ocean! The accommodation has its own parking lot. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Flic and Flac beach, only a 5-minute drive away.

It is not a bad place to stay but there are things that took the shine off of it. It is not dirty but if you move anything you can see the place needs a deep clean. The lounger covers need a wash for example. Also the place is tired. Needs painting and far more kitchen cutlery etc. All the kitchen knives are blunt and there is only one saucepan. There are woks and frying pans. Cooking for for larger groups would be an issue. The bin had no lid. There is no information pack about the area and nothing at all provided on arrival such as salt, cooking oil etc. A basic welcome pack would do wonders. The place could be amazing but just needs some care with attention to detail.

The place is huge. We went as a couple and it could have held six comfortably. It has a fantastic balcony area with a great view over the sea. It feels very safe with security on site. Its very quiet too. About 10 minutes walk from the town. The host and greeter provided good communication throughout. We used it as a base to explore the west side of the island and with a car you can reach Port Louis, Le Morne, Casela Safari Park and other attractions all within half an hour. For the space and view the price is reasonable.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The utensils were very limited. The towels were very rough. There was very little toilet paper. There were ants in all the rooms, The electric supply kept going off which affected the air conditioning. There was a lot of damaged old patio furniture around that really should be removed. The location wasn't great you definitely need a car. There was very little information in the property i.e. maps\shops/restaurants/taxis etc

The apartment was a bit dirty. Outside it looked nice (floors, beds, etc), but in closer look it wasn't so good. The kitchen equipment, the draws, the cabinets, all small stuff. Even the washing machine was corroded by rust. We've had few cockroach as well, even that this apartament was on 1st floor. The stairs (that were only to our apartment) were not cleaned. The land around was also covered by garbage - specially rocks close to the ocean.

The best was that the apartment was in the 1st line from the Ocean. The view was really really nice. The balcony was very big and rooms were also very specious. In each room was air-condition. It was quite close to Flic en Flac beach (about 1 km), however the location is a bit out. There is also enough space to park car. The price for so big and good located apartament was also quite low.

A couple of small suggestions - some of the furniture is a little tired and the kitchen could be better stocked, the bed in the main en-suite was not the most comfortable and too close to the ground (especially if you have a back problem), linen could do with an upgrade. Please be assured though that none of these things dampened our spirits or detracted from what was a lovely family holiday.

The apartment is so spacious, the bedrooms are huge and each has its on bathroom which is a big plus. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and gets you in holiday mode the second you walk in. The location is superb and all amenities in the lovely town of Flic en Flac are a short distance away, this includes many wonderful restuarants and magnificent beaches. We spent 8 wonderful days and would love to return. The host John is really friendly and very helpful, he is assisted locally by the lovely Rakhee and her husband Amil who are available to answer questions and give some great holiday advise!

Be very careful with booking this accommodation. There are a lot of reviews about accommodation on the first line, but in fact there are two apartments here: one on the first line, overlooking the sea, the other is a penthouse on the third floor, but not on the first line, you will see a piece of the sea through the balconies of your luckier ones neighbors. I didn’t realize that there were two different apartments in the booking and expected that I would live on the first line, but turned out that flat is not on the first line. I was disappointed by this. The apartment was clean, but it was clear that it had not been taken care of, for example, three bathrooms, but the rain shower did not work in any of them, all were broken in one way or another

Location is good, 100m to sand of Flic-en-Flac, some supermarkets not far. The apartment was clean.

The abandoned houses and public areas outside the property were not well maintained, part of the road leading to the property was unsealed.

Superb location, breath taking ocean views and space in front of the complex. The shared pool and pool area was clean, garden was well maintained. Air conditioning in the room made the balmy nights more comfortable.

Not a single air conditioning unit is working correctly. It is set to 16 Celsius and it is not possible to change it. We were waiting for the review to finish our stay in Mauritius, to have a comparison. Now we can honestly say, that this flat was in the worse condition, very very dirty. All were dirty except the floor and two toilets. We complained to the woman who broth the keys, but she said, that is not her job. I realized that complaining doesn't make flat clean. I cleaned the most important things myself and washed the bedding and towels. My bad luck wash machine did not have a door, so I did it by hand. I didn't clean the windows and the balcony railing, but it is really needed. I am very sorry for this beautiful property, that has to be in such e bad condition. Mauritians did not see it. Or he does do?

The flat has really a beautiful huge terrace with a view of the ocean and palm trees. Localita is calm quiet and safe. The owner is helpful, willing, and nice. We don't care that did not meet him, he communicates well.

The mattress in the main bedroom was terrible (discussed with the owner to address). Some of the floor tiles are loose but not a deal breaker. The kitchen utensils are very basic and one would expect more upmarket kitchen utensils in a relatively upmarket property. The same goes for the towels which detract from what this property has to offer. The barbecue is a bit old and rusted and difficult to fire up. Broken furniture stacked in the corner of the patio. The table on the patio is falling apart. Strange disco ball hanging from the roof on the patio. Unfortunately one of the units near to us were busy installing a roof on their patio and the noise spoilt our stay slightly. The oceanfront area in front of the complex is unkept.

The penthouse is spacious and the air conditioners in the bedrooms work well. We spent most of our time on the under cover patio which is quite a large area. Making breakfast and eating outside in the morning whilst watching the ocean was amazing. Making supper in the evening on the barbecue and having dinner on the patio whilst soaking up the view was lovely. The lounge furniture on the patio is relatively new and comfortable. The pool was clean and inviting. If one walks towards the ocean and turns right their is a rock pool with a ladder where you can swim and snorkel in safety (just watch our for sea urchins on the ladder side of the pool). If you continue in the same direction the public beach is about 200 metres away. The property is in walking distance of shops, restaurants and an ATM (we did most of our shopping at Jumbo Express). The owner came to visit us to ensure that everything was in order. We stayed in Mauritius for two weeks in a number of different self-catering properties across the island and we rate this as one of the best and largest properties within this price range. Include a cleaning service, upgrade the mattresses, kitchen utensils, towels and the table on the patio, get rid of the broken furniture on the patio and we would have rated this property this property "10". All in all we had a great time at Ocean View (thank you John).

There was no fan or air-conditioning in the main living room and it could get hot at times even if the windows/sliding doors are open. When on extended stay of 7 days, a mid cleaning by the host is appreciated.

The location was amazing and so was the place and host John who catered to our every need. The apartment was huge and the beach was just at the doorstep.

People write in their reviews that the apartments should be renovated. That's true, but not only that. It's very dirty everywhere!!! The kitchen cabinets are full of all kinds of garbage and crumbs. The kitchen equipment is cheap, poor and when you pick up a spoon or a plate you have to wash it because they simply stick. If you can't renovate the apartments, at least you can clean everything thoroughly. I don't believe that the owners don't see the broken door handles and loose screws...

Very large, spacious, once very beautiful apartments. Fantastic, large balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and the coast with palm trees. We spent most of our time there.

Spacious penthouse apartment with huge balconies and amazing views. Rakhee met us at the apartment and were really helpful, getting us extra items which we asked for. There is a good size swimming pool, and really used. We watched amazing sunsets on the balcony space was huge.

The apartment looked around 20 years old and badly in need of refurbishment. The towels and bedding were minimal and threadbare and the apartment had built up dirt and needed a very good clean. Not enough equipment in the kitchen and no toiletries provided. My husband had insect bites. The beach was too rocky to swim.

The apartment was spacious, with a large balcony to relax on and a clean, sparkling shared swimming pool. Each room had its own ensuite. The sea view and sunsets were stunning from the balcony. There weren't many people staying at the apartments and there was plenty of parking available. The host was friendly and attentive.
