Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing not to like. The cost of water villas are high in the Maldives, I would say largely because of government taxes. But when you break down the daily cost of food and beverages as well as the experience, it is worth it. *Cruise ship guests may visit the resort. We found that they corralled by the pool and took up all of the loungers and hammocks. This was frustrating so I’d definitely recommend finding out if they’ll be there during your stay and to arrive at the pool area early if you plan to spend time there.
Our stay here was magical. From the moment we arrived, everything was very orderly at the airport and with check-in. We really enjoyed our room and went snorkeling every morning which was amazing. Food did exceed our expectations. Staff and service were impeccable as was cleanliness.

CanadaCheck in and froht desk: On arrival Check in could be improved by giving proper information of inclusions. I found that i had a free sunset cruise on second last day when I visited to check the rates for it. However they put it on dolphin cruise instead and it was fabulous too. Queeny on reception was rude from beginning. When you spend so much money staff shouldn't ruin it for the guests. Also when I booked submarine experience someone told us the wrong time on phone for activity the boat was supposed to depart at 9.15 and they told us to be at reception at 9.30am. Food: Could add more variety to menu, felt it was bit limited. Villas: Are in need some maintenance and updating hot tub etc. You expect a bit better for the price and 5 star rating.
Location close to male and house reef. We saw alot of marine life including fishes, sharks, turtle, squids, sting ray. Best snorkeling experience Snorkeling gear is free for the stay. House keeping staff Mani is amazing he came to clean villa twice daily and also decorated on arrival. Restaurant waiting staff was all courteous specially Nalaka. Japanese restaurant service and food were great. It's a very small island for shorter stays it's good. Our butler Saurav was also helpful throughout. Sunrise villas has a view of beach , greenery of island and skyline of Male at night. I found it better than sunset villas. Spa is too good. Submarine experience was great.. unique activity. Overall a magical stay for first time in Maldives.

CyprusFantastic bungalows, beaches, facilities. Loved fine dining menu for all the meals and sea food restaurant. It's a tiny island, but there is still a lot to do and see. From available activities, local garden, birds and other animals, not to mention snorkeling. Stuff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. Christmas events where organized perfectly and food selection was breathtaking. Highly suggest for those who want to avoid long traveling from Male and large crowds.

It was 15 minutes away from the airport. Very convenient for those who are having an early flight back like me. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating. I never felt alone during my stay because they were always there to help and talk to me. They made my birthday more memorable. My butler Shiham was always one text away whenever I needed something, he was very helpful. I had also a great experience for my water activities like snorkeling with the nurse sharks. My personal trainer named Buti, was excellent and he made me feel safe always when I was swimming in the ocean. He even taught me how to swim properly for me to be able to have a great shots on my sharks encounter (the main reason why I went to Maldives is to experience this). One of the staff also named Ali always accommodated me and always made sure that I had the best experience in my whole stay. He always greeted me with a smile and asked me how’s everything in my stay and I appreciated that. I recommend this property as they gave me the best Maldivian experience ever. 🥰

Czech RepublicThis is only a small detail, but sometimes in the restaurant if you order several courses the waiting time between them can be long. A little bit confusing communication when pre-booking add on experiences.
Very luxurious and spacious room. I recommend to book the Honeymoon suite, because it will guarantee closest access to the island. Coral reef are beautiful and there is so much fish to see. Sea is crystal clear. Very good wifi considering you are surrounded by sea. Better wifi than in capital city. Staff is very helpful and makes pleasant small talk. Food is very delicious, please don't have toast with butter for breakfast and try Local cuisine from the menu!

United KingdomThe itchy bed. The jaccuzi bath tub was grimmy with bits of dust in the water from the jets in the bath tub. The room decoration was old and worn. Bedrooms requires redecorating to give a fresh new look. The straw blinds hanging on the villa windows needed new rollers as some looked broken. The wash basket for our dirty towels we threw in looked like they were just taken back out then folded and put back on the table for us to use again. The house keeping staff were always visiting they villa to tidy up but never seem to do a thorough clean. The food was good but nothing that stood out to want to go back for except the ice cream as the weather was hot and humid. However the Japanese restaurant was the only exceptional. Having breakfast in your own private water villa pool was available at an extra charge only if required. Also the private evenning meal on the floating platform (floating boxing ring) in the sea was only available at extra charge if required. The wooden tree house was also only available at extra charge for afternoon cake snacks if required. We paid for all inclusive but on arrival were told we had to pay an extra Green tax of 12 US dollars per night stay for our water villa which was totally unexpcted as we were supposed to be all inclusive with nothing else to pay.
The great hospitality of the butler Ajay and the waiting staff Nalaka. Awesome view from sunset water villa. They even provided a wedding anniversary cake in our water villa during the evening as we mentioned our anniversary on the booking. The clear blue sea with the illuminated night lights in the evening shining onto the glowing fish in evening was so beautiful.

United KingdomSome of the doors in the wardrobe and villas were not property fitted and could do with replacing, but this in no way spoiled our stay. I couldn't fault anything else, well done to all the Vadoo team.
The whole resort was well managed and very keen to ensure our every comfort was met. The staff were excellent and the quality of the food in the main restaurant was very good. The facilities were very clean, the beaches were constantly cared for and the approach to sustainable energy was gratifying.
