How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No transport from ferry dock, need to walk or hire taxi Listing says free bikes but they are actually 15usd/day Staff is responsive but not helpful for booking excursions
Grateful for a bed on a budget but it’s the bare minimum.

We had terrible weather and storms all the time we were there, which had a negative effect on our moods. The tiny reception area could have been much cleaner, and one person had no towel first day/night. Room OK clean but great for price
Missed ferry due to late flight, Accommodation helped book us on speedboat, as they were all full!. Also, unexpectedly at Thulusdhoo jetty to pick us up, as we were late. Very, very helpful and passed some good information on Tea and coffee are always available and able to use a large fridge. Free bottled water. Also organised transfer to jetty and details of local authority ferry as bad weather stopped public ferry from running. (loads cheaper than speedboat)

Not clean enough,we didn’t get soap for hands and shower only had cold water.Different from pictures.
Location is good,manager is very kind and helpful.The room had an AC.

I was cold and didn't get the nerve to cover myself with their duvet as it was full of dust. Plus the manager is loaded with too many tasks and because of that it seems he takes things too personally.
The hotel is really cheap and it's in an excellent location. The manager offered us a very good late check out. Cheers!

Water pressure at shower had a problem, but im sure its fixed now.

It wasn't clean. They didn't clean the room for 7 nights stay and didn't ask for it. I saw dead cockroaches 3 times on the floor. There wasn't plug next to the bed - it was in the opposite direction. The air conditioning is a bit noisy.
The food was amazing. The host was very friendly and informative.

It was worn out but for the price, good value for money
The staff are very helpful, I was able to get extra beach towels. They pick you up from the jetty to guide you, carry your bags if it a backpack but if you have suitcases, it will cost you as the path is sandy. The room itself is clean, but worn out Air-conditioning works well with also a room fan

The corners of the room could have been more cleaned as there was pieces of wall paint fallen off to the floor and significant amount of sand under the bed and in the room.
The staff are very attentive and helpful. Excellent communication with us. Facilities met up to expectation.

Kitchen isn't open for use but the staff make good budget friendly meals.
On a small paradise island what's not to like? The staff is very helpful, the rooms have AC and bathroom and they're decent. Not perfectly clean but I think this is all considered a budget option for backpackers etc.

The kitchen is ready for a renovation. They were so kind to let me use the fridge and coffe cups in "Silk" after the first 2 days of my staying there. In "Silk" you can have the cheapest and most filling breakfast which includes a local dish, coffee, fruit and the staff can make you a great grilled fish dinner as well!
The staff is really nice and very generous. The facilities are being renovated in the next month so it is probably going to be very different when you visit. Think of it more as a hostel with private rooms, lots of backpackers, fun talks with neighbours, etc. Room is ok as is the bathroom and it's perhaps the cheapest place to stay in the island! There is a beach to drink your coffee in solitude in the morning.The experience is heavily influenced by great people living, working and visiting this island! Internet is excellent and the AC works perfectly and limitlessly! The island is currently being developed as well but I got to enjoy a glimpse of local life at its finest-exotic fruit in your back yard, seeing kids go to school and women cleaning around the house and street, beautiful sunrises and sunsets with turtles, sharks and stingrays nearby, walking bearfoot around and getting smiles and "Hello"-s everywhere.

The inner courtyard could do with a little TLC.
It was a perfect family sized room with comfy pillows and a well functioning air conditioner. My daughter loved Thulu the kitten there.

Room was little bit old and repainted but clean.no TV was there. But overall good value for money.
Staff were very helpful.specialy Noor Alam was very nice always willing to help with smile on his face. Wifi was good. Food was great with reasonable price. restaurants staff were very nice.

I think the shower wasnt working properly, and they want me to pay in dollars, but I had only rufies.
Clean room, the hosst was very nice, I could meet nice people there, theres is a common area where you can seat, free water.

Improvements and renovations of the building should be planned and executed.
We had a pleasant stay (13 nights) at this guesthouse. For families traveling on a budget it is an excellent option. The best fish we could eat on the island was prepared and served by the very kind staff. We also had recommendations and were guided to see sharks, stingrays, mantas and turtles. Thanks, Noor! We were also good informed about transport options and amenities. The location (not exactly on the map) is perfect for a one minute walk to the bikini beach.
