Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe inside of the building is incredibly beautiful, immaculate, a work of art. It is a peaceful place, a haven in the center of the city. We were blown away.

United KingdomNo air con or fan, we had to open the window to sleep as the room was very very hot. This meant that it was very noisy due to the bar near by. A fan would have resolved all those issues.
Very clean, excellent location

IrelandThere was a smell sometimes in the room. It may have been due to the water restrictions. The room was extremely plain with lots of brown furniture. A picture or print as in the photos would cheer it up. I just went there to shower and sleep.
It was quiet and the room very spacious that it could fit 3 single beds. The rooftop was nice for relaxing as my room had internal windows. Instant Coffee/ water in the front lobby.

The location is good near Zócalo, two markets. Value of money. They provide free drinking water.

GermanyThe windows don't actually go outside but to a vertical shaft so there's limited light in the room. There was some problem with the tap in the bathroom sink. Just a side note: This may be called a hostal, and it does have a shared roof terrace but if you're looking for the traditional hostel community feeling where people get together this isn't the place.
Nice big room which actually had some wardrobe and other options to put your stuff. Nice roof terrace.

United KingdomYou could hear noise in the rooms from other guests rooms/corridor so can be noisy depending on other guests.
Nice and friendly staff (not english speaking but made use of translation apps) who let me wait when I arrived early and waiting for a night bus after check out. The hostel is very well located close to the main square within short walk of all the main sights. It feels very safe with a key issues to guests for the front door. The reception area has free coffee, water, biscuits and fruits for breakfast. The room was well appointed with hot water and wifi. Lovely roof terrace for relaxing in the evening too.

CanadaNo a/c or fan in our room. The property was quite noisy-street noise and lots of clanging and banging (doors from other units?) in the hostel throughout the night. Because there was no a/c or fan we had to choose between windows open and more noise or no airflow. I had to sleep with earplugs. Also the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay, not a huge deal as we were only there for 2 nights, but even just having a convenient option to empty the garbage (especially since TP doesn’t get flushed…) would have been nice.
Very friendly staff and a fantastic location. There was a major language barrier (my Spanish is awful and they spoke next to no English) but effectively used google translate as needed. Seemed safe and secure (almost excessively so). The private quad room we stayed in was spacious, well furnished, and very aesthetically pleasing.

EstoniaOur room was quite dark, because the windows were facing other rooms and we used the blinds just in case that noone would see inside.
The people working there were very helpful and kind! They also pay a lot of attention to security. The roof terrace was amazing! They provide free coffee, water, biscuits. Very close to the Zocalo, good location.

NetherlandsRoom cleaning is every 3 days and if you say you don’t want, then they don’t come the next day. You can of course ask the reception, so not an issue. The noise isolation is bad, so you can hear everything from corridor and outside the building.
Free filter coffee and water provided all day. Good location walkable to Zocalo. Nice terrace

United KingdomThe hostel could be quite noisy because of the design it was quite echoey, if that's a word lol. But it settled down at a decent time so got a good night's sleep
The manager and staff were wonderful. Very helpful and friendly and the manager spoke good English. The location is great for the town square which is where everything goes on. Shops restaurants and pick-up points for tour's. The hostel very clean throughout and my room was clean and comfortable.

CanadaI did not have any negative experiences staying at the Nordes.
Great location near the central plaza. Room and bathroom are both good sized with a closet for clothes storage. The hotel is quiet, bed was comfortable and had sufficient bedding for the chilly nights. Hotel is nicely renovated, clean and well kept with a great rooftop terrace. All of the Staff was always very helpful and friendly. The entire staff is very security conscious and control entry to the building. Javier gave me some excellent recommendations for getting around town and for the local area for seeing various sights. Coffee, bottled water and biscuits are available at the front reception area. No fan or AC but was able to keep the room very comfortable using the windows that open to ventilation shafts.
