The inside of the building is incredibly beautiful, immaculate, a work of art. It is a peaceful place, a haven in the center of the city. We were blown away.

No air con or fan, we had to open the window to sleep as the room was very very hot. This meant that it was very noisy due to the bar near by. A fan would have resolved all those issues.

    Very clean, excellent location

There was a smell sometimes in the room. It may have been due to the water restrictions. The room was extremely plain with lots of brown furniture. A picture or print as in the photos would cheer it up. I just went there to shower and sleep.

It was quiet and the room very spacious that it could fit 3 single beds. The rooftop was nice for relaxing as my room had internal windows. Instant Coffee/ water in the front lobby.

On the first floor rooms, if someone speaks at front desk you may hear the sound.

The location is good near Zócalo, two markets. Value of money. They provide free drinking water.

The windows don't actually go outside but to a vertical shaft so there's limited light in the room. There was some problem with the tap in the bathroom sink. Just a side note: This may be called a hostal, and it does have a shared roof terrace but if you're looking for the traditional hostel community feeling where people get together this isn't the place.

Nice big room which actually had some wardrobe and other options to put your stuff. Nice roof terrace.

You could hear noise in the rooms from other guests rooms/corridor so can be noisy depending on other guests.

Nice and friendly staff (not english speaking but made use of translation apps) who let me wait when I arrived early and waiting for a night bus after check out. The hostel is very well located close to the main square within short walk of all the main sights. It feels very safe with a key issues to guests for the front door. The reception area has free coffee, water, biscuits and fruits for breakfast. The room was well appointed with hot water and wifi. Lovely roof terrace for relaxing in the evening too.

No a/c or fan in our room. The property was quite noisy-street noise and lots of clanging and banging (doors from other units?) in the hostel throughout the night. Because there was no a/c or fan we had to choose between windows open and more noise or no airflow. I had to sleep with earplugs. Also the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay, not a huge deal as we were only there for 2 nights, but even just having a convenient option to empty the garbage (especially since TP doesn’t get flushed…) would have been nice.

Very friendly staff and a fantastic location. There was a major language barrier (my Spanish is awful and they spoke next to no English) but effectively used google translate as needed. Seemed safe and secure (almost excessively so). The private quad room we stayed in was spacious, well furnished, and very aesthetically pleasing.

Our room was quite dark, because the windows were facing other rooms and we used the blinds just in case that noone would see inside.

The people working there were very helpful and kind! They also pay a lot of attention to security. The roof terrace was amazing! They provide free coffee, water, biscuits. Very close to the Zocalo, good location.

Room cleaning is every 3 days and if you say you don’t want, then they don’t come the next day. You can of course ask the reception, so not an issue. The noise isolation is bad, so you can hear everything from corridor and outside the building.

Free filter coffee and water provided all day. Good location walkable to Zocalo. Nice terrace

The hostel could be quite noisy because of the design it was quite echoey, if that's a word lol. But it settled down at a decent time so got a good night's sleep

The manager and staff were wonderful. Very helpful and friendly and the manager spoke good English. The location is great for the town square which is where everything goes on. Shops restaurants and pick-up points for tour's. The hostel very clean throughout and my room was clean and comfortable.

Room was a bit noicy as it was close to the reception. Also there is a bar close by that plays music until 1am. With earplugs though is fine. They allow max 10min of shower and there is no warm water after 10pm.

Centrally located, free coffee and water all day. Kind staff. Nice terrace.

I did not have any negative experiences staying at the Nordes.

Great location near the central plaza. Room and bathroom are both good sized with a closet for clothes storage. The hotel is quiet, bed was comfortable and had sufficient bedding for the chilly nights. Hotel is nicely renovated, clean and well kept with a great rooftop terrace. All of the Staff was always very helpful and friendly. The entire staff is very security conscious and control entry to the building. Javier gave me some excellent recommendations for getting around town and for the local area for seeing various sights. Coffee, bottled water and biscuits are available at the front reception area. No fan or AC but was able to keep the room very comfortable using the windows that open to ventilation shafts.

Water was turned off completely in the morning so had to wait about half an hour to be able to flush the loo or have a shower! Think there may have been an issue so probably not a long-standing problem.

Sewage smell in the room (or mold?), pillows, no window screens. I'd suggest using a garafon (5gal w/pump) for drinking water vs. individual plastic bottles, or both.

Clean, well taken care of property, beautiful tile floors, comfortable bed, free coffee and water, rooftop oasis.

The rooftop terrace is implied as a great place to hang out, but it was not that inviting (eg limited seating) and always empty when I checked it out.
