Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWish it was more central. It’s more on the outskirts of condesa but that’s ok as we took Ubers everywhere.
Amazing service and staff and family home like feel. We had a wonderful time at Casa Comtesse. It truly felt like we were staying in a stunning, elegant, private home. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were incredibly warm , friendly , helpful and accommodating. A special shoutout to Fernando, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything and always had a great positive , friendly supportive attitude with a smile! Diego at reception and the 2 ladies who served us breakfasts were such a delight! Always smiling and so kind and helpful! And the art work is so unique as is the decor! As for the location, it’s on the outskirts of Condesa, so you’ll need to take taxis or Ubers to most places. I’m sure you’ll have a great stay here!

United StatesSome nights it can be a bit noisy at the front of the house at night and early morning. Ask for a back room.
The house is beautiful and the gardens are peaceful and quiet, especially at the back of the house. Staff are very helpful and friendly

CanadaThe nit-pickiest of things, which shows you I really got nothing negative to say: the hair dryer was only blasting cold air! Truly great stay, would return!
We were only here for one night but will most certainly return. The vibe is truly like living at your artsy pal’s vacation home. The hospitality is very personalized and they really do their best to make you feel comfortable. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable! The back garden and common areas of the property were very welcoming!

United StatesWe had a lovely 5 night stay here. Fernando was especially welcoming and provided so many helpful recommendations and made wonderful mezcal cocktails. Prior to our trip they connected us with a local guide that made it very easy to do day trips. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay- La Malinche and El Pomposo suite. Both were very nice, comfortable and quiet. The house itself is so interesting - full of original art, character and really nice seating areas. It really felt like home. I look forward to staying here again next time I visit CDMX.

United StatesThe rooms are big and a bit bare bones. Some people might find them to be less well appointed than expected for a hotel with such high ratings. We didn't mind overall, though it would be nice if the bathrooms were updated and upgraded a bit, Still, everything was functional .
This hotel is on a busy street, and while it's in Condesa it's not right there in the middle of the greenest or trendiest sections of the area. But it is close to all that if you don't mind walking a bit (10 to 15 minutes) and quite convenient if you, like us, prefer to take public transit. There's a metro stop only a few blocks away and a rapid bus stop (the kind with its own lane and central platform) literally across the street. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and very kind, and that, combined with the homey feel of the main space (it apparently was originally a home) adds to the charm. There's a communal dining area and a cute little garden spaces in front and in back, and the breakfasts include all the usuals but also homemade Mexican dishes that vary from day to day and are cooked to order. While the kitchen does have one main cook, the hotel staff work there too, and the collective effort is part of that friendly ambiance. The rooms were spacious, and the hotel was quiet.

Unique architecture, furnishings and art. Super friendly and helpful staff. wonderful breakfasts. option to have tea or coffee any time of day. ( I love my herbal te at night). Great location. library, hats for loan, mezcal tasting….loved it all.

Beautiful Breakfast was a delightful communal experience -different each day. a special offering was cooked each day but if that did not suit eggs were available as was a generous continental choice with pastries from an excellent bakery. Alex gave us a lovely welcome and all the staff were super communicative cheerful and helpful. The historic house was bedecked with interesting objets d'art and furniture and the walls with framed pieces-with sale and background details available on qr codes. Front and back leafy garden space was available for relaxing quietly.
