How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fact of the cleaners put loud music when cleaning the others rooms and they start very early so you cannot rest a bit more . The fact the rooms don’t have : Don’t Disturb or Clean my room , again the cleaners nock your door and you wake up or just open the rooms without make sure anyone is inside

Great place and fantastic staff. However every kitchen item seems to be single use plastic ( cutlery etc). Hope this is changed into normal glass and metal kitchen items or other environmentally friendly options

Some nights the hallway might be noisy for some people.

The wifi connexion was a disaster. If you rely on the internet to get stuff done or to stream content, forget it. No real food on the premises. 20 pesos of a small water bottle

Unclean linens Internet kept conking off No breakfast facility within walking distance which is a problem in the days of group sightseeing trips
Location was in a quiet but safe neighborhood (very near to the police station) but at close proximity of the downtown attractions - so easily walkable Staff are good but lacks English speaking which leads to confusion

Cleanliness could be better, WiFi had very poor connectivity. Cable TV kept reseting every 5 mins and made it impossible to watch.

The furniture & toilet a bit old style but super clean. It was worth it for the price.
Best of the hotel were the workers really helpful when asking directions and other things. It is quite centric but still a little walk (6/7 cuadras) to the centre. Very close to parque de la Mejorada.

It was a bit of a walk to town and the motel is a little dated but for the money in Merida...it was fine!
Handy parking at this motel a little walk from the main centre. For our budget, this worked for us. The pool was super handy after a hot day walking around town and the room was a good size and beds comfortable.

Some of the facilities have seen better days. The location is not ideal. I was not encouraged to walk around the neighborhood at night (just my own perception, might not be correct)
The personnel were very helpful and attentive both when check-in and really early checkout. Everything was very clean.

The location is a good 15 minute walk to the market and restaurants. The kitchen downstairs was barely passable. Not a lot of anything if you want to cook for yourself.
My room was comfortable. The shower and air con worked well. The bed was good. I had a window with a fly screen to let in fresh air. The staff were good especially the cleaners. The swimming pool with outdoor shower is a feature.

It would been a lot better if they could sell something to eat late at nigth other than jelly or sandwiches, other than that everything was ok
The room was nice and clean, the pool seemed very clean. Although the recepcionist was an alternate in this job, he was friendly and helpful in the way he could. There's a park very close from the hotel.

Noisy as the passage outside the downstairs rooms is like an echo chamber and everything happening in reception. The kitchen or pool area is amplified.
This photo must have been taken some years ago. Its looking quite dilapidated now and the pool was green for the first days. Appears it get special treatment for weekend visitors
