There’s no one to assist you going to the room and unlike other hostels, here they give the pillow and towel upon checking in. So you have to carry everything on your own plus your luggage. The top bunk has a very small space from the ceiling and it’s not safe going up and down as there’s nothing else to hold on to aside from the ladder. Wifi wasn’t working very well in the room.

It’s well located and the place has a cozy vibe.

Facilities are basic but kept clean. The loo roll sometimes ran out late at night and early in the morning.

Really lovely hostel, photos don't do it justice! Friendly staff and good clean facilities. Amazing location a couple of blocks from the main square. Able to help us with anything we needed including laundry, storing bags and tour advice. Great price considering we were there for day of the dead!

There was not really the possibility to cook. Also the hostel was quite empty. I was with my best friend and we enjoyed the calmness. But if you do solo travelling and you want to meet people, than it's probably not the right place.

Weird half doors in the bathroom/toilets - so people can see your face if standing in the toilet and most of your legs. Was just quite awkward as the ladies bathroom/toilet main door was always left wide open so all the men could see in too! No free water like other places have them. They do have water and drinks that you can pay for.

Excellent helpful staff, clean, comfortable beds, access to charge phone by the bed, laundry services (pay per kilo). Provision of soap and shampoo sachet for guests.

Facilities - in particular the toilets - were a bit basic. Fan in room didn’t really work so was hot.

Lovely big room and the whole place had a quite and relaxing vibe. Felt very clean and also good having lockers in the room. Staff were really accommodating- we checked in at 1am after a bus and they were happy to help. Nice that a small breakfast is included.

some things were forgotten, we have to ask several times for our breakfast vouchers, we also left our laundry and they forgot to do it. Some showers were not working and during the weekend the bathrooms were very dirty

-they charge to hold your luggage if you leave after checkout … what really bothers me was that they weren’t receptive to feedback about including policies on sites like Booking.com so that travelers can make informed decisions (I am on a shoestring budget and would have picked a different hostel or a different bus time if I had known in advance). Maybe I’m too particular but I prefer policies and fees to be transparent. -breakfast was offered but was pretty much just coffee and bread products … the bread I grabbed was stale, so I chose to just get other food for breakfast I was in a dorm… Some things to note about the dorm that might be an issue for folx: -there were lockers but not enough for every bed to have one -on one bed the ladder to the top bunk is blocked by the locker so you’d have to climb onto the locker to get up on the bed -the doors to the room don’t seal fully, so there were bugs (ants, mosquitoes) in the room -if you open the metal doors more than half way to get in the room they hit the metal lockers, which is quite loud and kind of hard to avoid -I personally did not find the bed comfortable but of course everyone is different

-the location is just fantastic!!! … an easy walk to the zocalo -it is a really cool looking space, with murals on the walls, hammocks, and chill spaces -some of the staff are really great … I’ve lady in particular was very helpful when I was having issues flagging down a taxi to catch my bus -wifi was pretty solid -the building felt pretty secure, with the front door always locked and someone at the front desk to let guests in -I appreciated that there was a blanket on the bed

The was nothing to not like. Excellent hostel.

The staff are wonderful. The included breakfast is delicious. Very comfortable bed and hot showers with good water pressure. Very clean. Lovey courtyard to sit in with hammocks and a common area in the second floor also. Very quiet considering how close it is to the Zocalo. So close to everything!!! I’ll be back in Oaxaca next week and will definitely stay here then and whenever I come back.

- the cleaning lady was rude She will turn off all the light when you are still in the terrace. And without noticing. When you get into the kitchen in the allowed time, the lady will ask you not to use, even though there is at least 20mins left. - you don’t have any light in the room, if you take mixed room. - the doors of shower and the toilet are only half shaped. That means whoever enters the restroom can see who’s inside the shower and toilet and even smell it. There is no privacy. - The hot water is limited and without warning. There is no hot shower at around 11pm.

The location is good. You can get to the downtown in 10 mins. The staffs in the reception are friendly.

There was some confusion, I had requested a taxi to the airport via booking.com special requests, and the lady said she did not know about this. So I ended up getting my own taxi at 5am. But it worked out fine. Also the bathrooms are exactly as other commenters have mentioned - doors so low you can look people in the eye. Super awkward.

Staff was very nice. It was quiet and I luckily got a whole dorm to myself.
