Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was perfect. The perfect balance of a quiet place to work or rest during the day, plus the chance of meeting people from all over the world and having a few drinks at evening/night in a beautiful property with an amazing pool, with great group activities (optional of course) organized by the kindest accomodation staff (Diana and Maria). Casa Losodeli also has a perfect location, being situated only 7 min by foot from Carrizalillo beach, probably my favourite beach in the world. It's 10 min by car from the airport (no need to rush or stress if you're flying) and 10 min away from Zicatela, the night zone full of amazing bars and nightclubs for all kinds of styles. I couldn't recommend it more and I'm definitely staying here again when I come back to Puerto Escondido.

United StatesAccess to indoor coworking space isn't included with lodging, and it's a little misleading to have coworking in the name when it's not included (it's only $100 MXN, but still); water pressure in showers was awful and there was rarely hot water; kinda far from the beach
Friendly staff, nice facilities with a clean pool, most beds were bottom/unbunked, good location for restaurants/access to supermarket, very fast Wifi, affordable bar; great upkeep with beds made most/every day

We had an excellent experience here! The wifi was great, the premium room was clean, A/C worked, cafe was great, and was a nice bonus to have a smart tv. We would stay back here in a heartbeat!

NetherlandsWhile I enjoyed my room, the loud street noise from traffic was a downside. If you’re sensitive to noise, I’d recommend requesting a room further from the street. The ceiling fan in my room was quite loud, so I opted to use the AC as a fan instead. It would have been helpful if someone had provided a short tour or introduction upon arrival. I only discovered some amenities, like the shared kitchen, fridge space, and drinkable water, by chance. Additionally, sharing information about the bar and restaurant’s operating hours, as well as nearby activities or tips, would make a huge difference for new guests.
I had a very pleasant stay! My private room with two beds was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness, tidying up the room, and even changing my towels daily, which was a great touch, though not necessary for me since I only stayed there for 4 days. The common areas, including the pool, were fantastic and added to the relaxing atmosphere. I especially appreciated the drinkable cool water provided in the shared kitchen—such a thoughtful detail. The quieter location, away from the bustling Punta area, was a blessing. It’s close to the airport and conveniently located near beaches where activities like whale and dolphin watching take place. One of the highlights of my stay was the sense of community. I met a bunch of interesting people, which made the experience even more special.

United States- No hair dryer - No onsite laundry - Shower soap holder falls off the wall very easily - There's no "do not disturb" option to put on your door, so if housekeeping comes when you are away they will shut off your air conditioning - Bathroom mirror was not parallel with the wall so I had to duck down to see my face - The bed just contains a single sheet, no comforter or blanket, which I like the feeling of when sleeping. - Room had a lot of dirty/dust on the floor. My feet literally turned black walking around. - When you check in they put a bright colorful wrist band on you that falls off after an hour and they never check for it anyway. - Private room cost 4x the amount as dorm room bed. Not really worth it.
I stayed in a private room - Solid WiFi - GREAT air conditioning (very powerful) - The room is huge! - Staff was chill - Connected cafe was good for a quick caffeine source - Unlimited free drinking water! - Seemed like a lot of guest events to attend, but I was off doing other stuff with friends so didn't try them

Switzerlandcertain unfriendly people and arrogant towards non-native English speakers and backpackers who are just travelling. You feel like an outsider if you are not there as a digital nomad. No one speaks to you. Or you are ignored and certain lack of information at the reception I blame the bosses I didn't get a tour on the day I arrived to know where everything was and what was happening in the hostel/hotel I had to ask the volunteers Diana and Eddy were absolutely helpful and friendly and a good friendship developed with the two they really tried to get people together and form a community which was not easy at all because the people were difficult and not so open luckily I met some cool people in the hostel but more local people outside the hostel and for the high price that you pay for the doorm, I expect that the towels are free and not another 50 pesos because the workers don't earn that much at these prices, in other hostels/hotels you get the towels for free Oh, and one more thing, if you have a kitchen available for the guests, I expect that there will always be enough cutlery and forks. We had a family meal on a Friday, which of course was difficult to bring people together. As usual, there were absolutely no forks or too few at a family meal. Certain people had to eat their food with a spoon, which wasn't really comfortable with a spaghetti dish, and when you washed your dishes there were no kitchen towels anywhere to dry your hands, you had to wipe your wet hands on your clothes and there were no napkins available either. I blame the management for that, not the staff, they did the best they could for us and the volunteers.
It was great that it was cleaned every day by the staff, it was really clean, you can't complain and the staff were very helpful and very friendly and supportive if your Spanish isn't the best

AustriaWhen I had to go to the toilet around midnight I got yelled at by an employee telling me it was forbidden to use the bathrooms at that time. It was weird. People are not very relaxed at this place in general, you could feel a tense atmosphere. Most of the co-workers there behave as if it was their five star hotel and they should be treated accordingly, not very considerate. Only that they wanted to pay the relatively rather cheap price of a hostel. So you might go to some other place if you like a more relaxed atmosphere, at a better price.
They have a nice little pool and the beds are comfortable.

VietnamEven those who are in their own rooms come to the shared bathroom to do things like shave their hair in the sink. The climate is very controlled so if you arrive and a bed is ready, the staff will not turn on air until late evening and enter the room to turn it off. If you wish to eat a little later, you are watched until the last bite is gone so the lights will be turned off in the main areas, which seems more of a control issue, not due to disturbance of others sleeping.
The layout and the morning and afternoon reception also the cleanliness and the fact there is a kitchen, as with any hostel experience depending on the people, it can be very great or a very terrible experience so best to keep to yourself. It also has a cafe that sells great healthy things if you don't feel like making it yourself. The co-working space is very small but nice to have an area to work but if more than three people are there, can feel crowded.
