Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI felt like I was the only person in this hostel so if you’re a solo traveler I’d say it probably isn’t the best. The other thing is it doesn’t have a kitchen which can be really annoying. It’s more of a hotel vibe than a hostel.
This property is massive and the dorms are huge with loads of space! The bathrooms are the same so there is never any fighting for your turn in the showers or anything. The bed curtains lock and there are massive lockers for your stuff which is fab. Location is good.

AustraliaThere was a concert on Saturday night, it was a bit loud but luckily it finished before 11pm. Also, there was a little who played music in her berth (only for about 10 minutes) around midnight, it was quiet but it still woke me up (I had earplugs on). It would be good to have noise rules displayed in the room.
Beautiful building, very clean and spacious, and nice staff.

United StatesNot a very social hostel - many families with kids staying there. No locks on the toilets or showers. Loud music on the weekends but it ends around 10:30 pm.
Amazing location right near the main square, beautiful old building, curtains and lockers were nice, clean bathrooms.

United KingdomNo kettle or little fridge available for small things. It took half an hour to check in, and when I thought we were done, the guy tried to make me pay a bank checking fee again.
The rooms were secure, and the beds were comfortable with locking shutters. The automatic lights were great in the room. However, the toilet lights would sometimes go out at night. Most of the staff were pleasant, especially as they were working at Christmas. Drinking water was available.

United StatesThere was a constant loud beeping/alarm noise all night from a business next door and they didn’t/couldn’t do anything about it. Sinks in bathroom were usually dirty. Would be helpful to have a kitchen.

Australia- As it’s on a main road in the city centre it can be noisy on weekends at night. - In the warmer months the rooms can be quiet warm at night in the capsules as there’s no air conditioning.
- Capsule beds with light and outlet. - Clean amenities. - Centrally located to everything.

United KingdomThe bedroom was right above a noisy bar so take ear plugs. The breakfast was very minimal - 2 biscuits & coffee. The room light is automatic so it goes on & off. Not a problem when you're asleep as the beds have curtains but annoying otherwise. There didn't seem to be any communal areas - which misses the point of being a hostal for me.
The beds are great. Lots of space in the bedrooms. I had a lovely shower. It's a lovely building in a great location, very close to the historical centre & easy to get buses from to get to the bus centre The receptionist was really friendly & helpful.

United KingdomThere is not my definition of a breakfast included, as the listing specifies. It's nice that hot drinks, fruit and cookies are provided, but I would usually choose somewhere that has a kitchen if there is not a proper breakfast included. If I am staying in a hostel I probably don't have the budget to be eating out 3 times a day. Also, there aren't any locks on the bathrooms or showers. It was really quiet when we stayed so my partner only walked in on someone once :)
The location is so central and absolutely perfect for exploring centro histórico on foot. It is in a beautiful old building, which was a pleasure to be in, and right across from the Palacio Clavijero, so some of the rooms have an awesome view across to the domed building and gardens. Bed was comfy, lots of storage space in the locker under the bed, plugs and lights in the right places, hot showers, super clean, nice staff, felt safe, all good!

Czech Republic- I asked in advance if I needed to book a tour for Dia de los muertos. I was told that they will explain all on my arrival, but probably they did not realize my arrival was on 31st and all was booked out by then. - Stuff does not speak English - The upper bed staircase is painful to climb on and also there is no big fence so I would be afraid to sleep there with a child. - I booked female only dormitory, but I was given a mixed one. I did not realize until in the middle of the second night I saw men checking in. - after my stay I kept getting emails to provide a review, but I was busy, so eventually I got an email they cancelled my past booking and I had to confirm I actually stayed there.
- Location - Amazingly clean like I have not seen anywhere in Mexico yet - lockable curtains - big beds and nice sheets and towels - space around the bed - female bathrooms - beatiful architecture - friendly stuff ( let me changed the bed to the lower one when available) - there is water, coffee and tea for free - Oxxo shop downstairs

United StatesNo kitchen or fridge. Each locker is actually shared with a bunk mate (so not total safety). While I was there the WiFi wasn’t working. Because of the location it’s very noisy (from the street). I heard a lot despite the ear plugs.
Location is great, the beds are very comfortable, and I love the fact each bed’s screen is lockable. I used that instead of the locker for my stuff. The staff is efficient; I know they let one person check in at 9 am when a bed happened to be free, which I thought was cool.

United StatesA good hostel in Morelia for a good price. It is very close to the center. I am a vegetarian and there is a good vegetarian place nearby. The bed was comfortable and had an outlet, light, and an accordion screen for privacy which was unique. The toilets and showers were alright. It is a big hostel with lots of open spaces, but there was nobody there when I was there which was strange. But for one night as a solo traveler, it worked well.

Czech Republic-
It is an extraordinary place. A modern Japanese-style capsule hostel fitted inside a noble colonial building. It is beautiful and it meets European standards of cleanliness, something very rare in Mexico. There is a beautiful interior patio with tables and chairs where you can sit, read a book or talk to other guests. Near the historic centre. Very clean bathrooms.
