Food at the restaurant could have been better seasoned, more authentic, sometimes it felt like it was catered to American palate instead of with Mexican flair.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, the rooms was spacious and had small details that made our stay even more comfortable. The level of service and kindness from the stuff was outstanding, we experienced a 5 star service level from a 4 star hotel. The location is perfect, just in the middle of the beach strip, surrounded by restaurants, bars, pharmacy and mini markets.

We stayed in La Zebra in mid January for 4 nights. I wished I booked longer. It is located on georgous Tulum beach with white sands and Palm trees. The beach club and food is really good. The ambiance is really nice. Our room was located on the beach with a plunge pool, which was heated whenever we asked for it. The room was very spacious with a nice decoration, exclusive Mexican atmosphere. The room is cleaned everyday. We found hot ginger tea and chocolates every night when we arrived in our room. You have everything ready in the room, from umbrellas to yoga mats, brewed Mexican coffee. Front desk team, Lucy, Ricardo, Estaban were great. Our special thanks to Juan Carlos, he helped us in everthing we asked for, from restaurant recommendations to private excursions. I would definetely recommend La Zebra to anyone travelling to Tulum. Come with or without children. Tulum Tips: The parties in Tulum begin with brunch, continues with sunset, dinner and night. Entertainment anytime of the day:)))

The road to get in and out of the hotel area is a nightmare. Traffic is an issue and any activity planned outside the hotel area is really time consuming to reach and come back.

The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and a few steps from the beach. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They pay attention to the details. They clean up the seaweed in front of the hotel, which makes for a really nice beach experience

Waiters need to be more informative of what's included in the meals. We ordered a side of toast; however, the dish we ordered came with a side of toast.

Tulum is the most expensive vacation we have ever taken and we have been all around the world! More expensive than Hawaii even. That surprised and disappointed me and will definitely deter us from returning.

Beautiful stay right on the beach in tulum. The staff were very helpful and the accommodation was really beautiful. The view from the room was unbelievable and the jacuzzi out front made it the perfect stay.

The spa was average.

Wonderful staff. Lovely room. Beautiful beach. Even though there was seaweed the staff did their best to clear it. Juan Carlos was very helpful in arranging excursions with a lovely company. Also even though there is just one restaurant the food options and variety of evenings were great - it didn’t feel like food got boring.

Not in the property’s control but traffic getting to and from centro Tulum can be bad along the beach road.

Beautiful location on the beach and excellent amenities. The service is impeccable and thoughtful — especially from Marco who was always one step ahead of our needs.

after paying the check in the beachbar, the waiter run after me, he complained that we didn’t gave him enough tip and he want’s more. It is very rude and inappropriate in a 5* Hotel. The restaurant staff also made faces if the tip was less what they excepted. The prices are quite high anyway. I had the feeling, they think so, if I can afford a 5* Hotel, I must give them after every order the expected 25%. That’s why, I don’t think that I will ever return to this hotel.
