Amazing bed, huge bathtub but what's the point if there's no hot water to fill it with !

so first of all the location is honestly pretty amazing it‘s very close to the beach and close to all the viral/ well known places no longer than 5 min to walk. its was amazing to stay there the pool is super cool fyi it‘s a little on the cooler side temperature wise. i travelled with my friend and what we didn‘t like was the open shower there‘s really not much privacy otherwise lovely

We stayed on the ground floor by the pool. The pool had sand surrounding it and you could not rinse your feet before entering your room. Would have been nice to have a bucket of water outside your door to rinse your feet off (like we saw at some other hotels). We took our shoes off as soon as we entered the room but still managed to get sand all over the concrete floor. First place we've stayed that did not furnish bottled water. We purchased our own larger bottle for drinking water, but it would have been nice to have a couple of small bottles for brushing your teeth, etc. Storage for clothes, etc. was absolutely minimal (okay for a couple of days but would really be a problem for staying longer). The small blocks of wood for bedside tables looked great but were too small for much more than a water bottle.

Location. Location. Location. Located next to the beach and Centro. The price was exceptional for the location. Very comfortable bed. Modern, minimalist look. All concrete (floor, walls, ceiling, built-ins in the bathroom). Thick, black-out shades for the window.

They made a big point of mentioning not to dirty the towels or sheets with stains or we would be charged, yet when I looked at the sheets on the bed when we arrived they weren’t crisp white and so I had to take photos just incase. Only other thing is that you could hear noises from outside the room quite clearly throughout the night which was annoying. The room also didn’t have a safe.

The room was a really nice design and looked over the pool. Bed was comfy and room mostly clean. The location was great, everything close by, including the beach which was a 30 second walk. Staff were all helpful and friendly. fan on the ceiling was great. We didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi but it looked nice.

Every day they wanted to know if we required the room to be cleaned, perhaps there are travellers who don’t want a clean room? Maybe to save the planet? In that case, don’t travel!

The suite was very large and the bathroom was gigantic. Very comfortable! I loved it.

There are some nights where the nightclub on the beach (100m away) goes on and on until 06:30am, and that is the major annoyance and isn’t even the hotel’s fault.

Macondo is walking distance to everything you want in Holbox - the beach, cool restaurants and shops. You won’t have a dull moment in Holbox. The pool area is also great but could do with a few extra sun beds. The king rooms are really nice and spacious.

You could hear EVERYTHING from the streets, but you got used to it after a while. And I would have liked to have a proper mirror.

This isn’t the fault of the hotel, but a couple of bars on the beach blast trashy club music until 3 am. It impacts all hotels in the area, and a pair of earplugs handled the problem, but it was unpleasant :(

Perfect location to explore Holbox! A quick hop to the beach and plenty of amazing restaurants, but not directly adjacent to any loud beach bars. The rooms were stylish and impeccably clean, and the concrete finishing made for very a practical home base when we’d come home sandy/beachy each night. The staff were so warm and welcoming - arranged us taxis and made my mom feel like a VIP in the upper suite for her birthday 💕 would absolutely recommend this hotel for any visit to Hoblox!!

There was no proper ventilation for the bathroom or enough place to hang our wet clothes. The look of the place, the rooms makes it feel like it is unfinished although maybe it is on purpose

Really nice place in Holbox, close to the beach. The room was clean and tidy! The staff is very nice and available in case you would need some help. I recommend this hotel!

Pool not clear due to sand from beach and grounds and so it’s too cloudy to see underwater steps and wall partitions. Plus, jacuzzi pool water is too cold due to layout of pool. During my stay I didn’t see anyone get into the jacuzzi section of the pool.

Great location and very easy access to beach/restaurants/shops/events. Staff is very responsive to concerns. Due to sewer drainage of building, my room shower area began to have a foul smell. Staff immediately identified the problem with the shower drain and rectified the issue.

The washroom should be clean better, also some dusty on the fan in the bedroom. We hear some noises from another guest, but it doesn’t bother me. The mean thing was the cleaning.

Unfortunately the air con was off for about 1-2 days due to some connection issue. This was very unfortunate since it was sooo hot and the fan was not sufficient for the both of us (had only one fan speed). After several complaints they did offer to move us to the other hotel but luckily they manage to fix the problem. The house keeping were often very late and we had to ask for it. All of our stuff was on the floor since there was no closet or benches. The room did have one coat stand but this was not enough.

Great location and spacious room! We stayed on the second floor and got away with the flood (!!) and the mosquitos.

When I arrived and ask for the hotel it turns out they were two Macondo so I was taken to the wrong one and then had to wait for a taxi and missed the sunset. The room is way different to the photos. My particular room had stairs right in front, no mirror but the one in the bathroom. As well bathroom has no window so you could feel the condensation, No proper bedding just sheets. The AC was not working so even though it was a low temperature the room was not cold. Also, at nights the water bomb was activated so got woken up several times by the noise coming from the walls. The staff was amazing I can’t complain about it.
