The sister company of bookings.com messed up my previous reservation. This was a 2nd choice in hotel for me.

The location was good. You could rent bikes or scooters to go further distances. There were restaurants and convenient stores that were readily available.

it‘s really in the middle of nowhere. you need a bike or taxi.

it feels like a hotel. i liked the events in the evening and the trails for free. ;) nice staff/guests.

The cool chill vibe. Lots of nice seating inside and outdoor by pool area. Great 2 for 1 Happy hour daily. property directly adjacent to good taco joint. Dorm rooms are huge with comfortable beds.

15-20 min walk into main town

Beautiful pool, very nice rooms, bar, common spaces. WiFi was good to work anywhere in hostel. Big shout out to Pedro at the front desk, Thank you!!

Extreme loud music until 1-2 AM, dark rooms, poor breakfast. Private rooms are overpriced.

The Mayan Monkey in Tulum is phenomenal! I cannot say enough good things -- the staff were amazing and got to know me by name even. I stayed there 2 weeks, and it was clean, professional, comfortable, and seriously one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hostel. No matter what I needed, the staff was there for me. This place also looks like a resort! The large steps, the decor, the swim up bar -- seriously felt like a resort style place. The music was great in the evenings, and they stopped it at midnight. The rooms were quiet, the breakfast was AMAZING. And I had even lost something, and they located it for me in the lost-and-found. This place is literally the best and you won't be disappointed.

It's a pitty that bikes cannot be rented since early morning, only 9am-9pm. The hostel is located far from the beach and town. If you'd like to enjoy the beach at the sunrise be ready to walk at least 45min.

Location is a bit of a ways from the main town and beach but close to the ruins.

I had a private room so have zero complaints for this hostel. Was a really great value, clean, and modern. Bed was very comfortable Great atmosphere and good option for those traveling solo/wanting to meet new people!

the laundry was down.

The guy at the front desk was absolutely wonderful and always had a smile. My boyfriend and I stayed at the hostel and had a great time drinking at the pool, happy hour, meeting new people, and exploring tulum. At the front desk you can rent bikes, scooters, and excursions. I would stay here again if your looking for an adventure.

Incredible Hostel! of the best I've ever stayed. the staff was super friendly and available (a special hug to Sandy and Tom Cruise from Tulum). The hostel has an incredible atmosphere that combines the chillout in the living room (where you can do yoga) and the energy with dancing from the DJ in the bar area. It is possible to rent bicycles and ride around the island and all the staff are available to teach you the best places to go. I loved. I will come back if I have the chance :)

Loved my 5 nights staying in this hostel! Absolutely love the whole building. Rooms are very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice curtains to have some privacy. Free daily yoga and use of yoga mats free of charge. Great pool. Nice games in the afternoon to get in touch with other guests. Can highly recommend this place! It is just a bit far off the main road of parties, restaurants and bars. But you can get a cheap bike around the corner and then bicycle around!

Only down side it is a good 30 min walk to the centre. There is not a lot near the hostel bars wise. It has a beautiful pool and a lovely pool bar area but it closes at 7pm. It feels a wasted opportunity. If you want to have a beer you have to sit on the steps outside. Think the bar should be open later. Other than that, it is amazing!

This place is amazing, for a hostel it is incredible . I would put the cleanliness and facilities, pool etc on par with a good 4 star hotel.

The hostel is a bit far from the centre of Tulum.

maybe the can clean the walls of the bed. U need to rent a transport, as the location is a bit far from the center and from the hotel area. The price is a bit expensive.

They have enough facilities, even if there are 12 people in one room, u don’t feel it. every room has 2 showers and toilets. The privacy of the bed, the have curtains. The breakfast is good.
