I think the location was my least favorite part so if you go out at night and you don’t have a car you would have to pay for a taxi which can be kind of expensive overall in Tulum

The place has a really cool vibe, the rooms are good and you have privacy even though it’s a shared room. The music they played at the rooftop was good and the drinks were good. Met some really nice people and we all ended up having fun.

our favourite place during our trip to Mexico. The private room was perfect for us as we wanted privacy as a couple but also love the hostel, social vibes outside. loved the pool and bar area and the amazing staff especially Mauricio who runs the entertainment, Christian the wonderful bar man and Angie and Rose who were so helpful in reception.

Few bartenders weren’t too friendly.

Location , environment, pool , staff. They offer sound healing classes , Samantha is great and you will relax with this class. great experience ! Robert at the front desk is awesome.

The parties was not so excited.

I loved the staff, they were kind and friendly. Hostel super organized and clean. Air conditioning inside the rooms working well and good locks to leave your stuff!

One of the showers had low water pressure and dribbled but wasn’t a big deal. Also needs more outlets in the room!

Beautiful property, room was large and had two showers and two toilets (all separate). Front desk and bartenders were awesome and helpful. Plus for the price you can’t beat it!

Loved my stay at Mayan Monkey. I stayed in a 12 female dorm which I felt made it easy to make friends there. The A/C was at a good temperature and the bathrooms were clean. also like the co-working space. It’s obviously a party hostel with loud music every night but in the day there’re many places to chill.

This is a great hostel!! The rooms are super nice, you have your own privacy curtain, a little light and enough outlets to charge 4 things at the same time. The staff is super nice, Samantha helped us out with a lot of stuff! The bar staff is also super friendly, they organise a lot of stuff! Very good value for money 👌 would recommend it to anyone!!

This is definitely the best choice to make when you're in Tulum! We extended 3 times in a row because we liked it so much. The staff is super friendly, they organise a lot of stuff during the day and evening like salsa class or cocktail class. It's great music at the bar, and it ends at 1am so it's perfect for a good night of sleep (honestly you don't hear the music in the rooms because it's such a big hostel and very well isolated!) It's more like a resort, it's sooo fancy! They have a very nice chill area also. And it's great to meet people from all over the world! Would recommend it for solo travelers also and digital nomads, good working space!

The bar food was average at best and the service wasn't great but we managed fine.

Amazing hostel with a nice atmosphere and lovely pool area. We stayed in a private room and it was cleaned daily. It was a huge room and extremely comfortable. The location was good, about 20 mins walk to the main street area, but plenty of restaurants, shops and bars on the way.

Bar prices are high and changed depending on who bought the drink. Location doesn't seem too far but in high humidity it is.

Such a cool hostel. Super clean, great atmosphere, lovely staff, nice pool and lovely breakfast. Tour prices from hostel are good. Other people on tour paid a lot more for the same thing.

Amazing hostel! Everyday is full of activities and new people! Lots of opportunities to meet and interact with locals and visitors. The staff is amazing and super friendly. The property itself is beautiful and has great vibes! Nice clean rooms with great wifi connection, yoga classes, live DJs, amazing food, and happy hour every day! What else can you ask for?

I absolutely loved my stay at Mayan Monkey Hotel. This was my last week solo traveling in Mexico, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. I stayed at the Cancun branch first and then Tulum, but Mayan Monkey has its magic that I extended my visit for 2 extra nights. The perfect ambiance, co-working spot and facilities. As someone who was working while traveling, I never had to stress wifi or a nice spot to take a zoom call. The staff was super friendly and helpful (I asked tons of questions). Special shout out to Roberto who kindly made my stay pleasant. Definitely, a place I am coming back to on my next visit <3
