Very poor air conditioning - so hot it was almost unbearable. So much sand it was impossible to keep it out of the room and belongings etc

the dorms are very very crowded and not built that well. there wasn’t even room to open my suitcase. each bed had a big locker stuck at the end of the bed and we all bumped our legs in it during the night.

I disliked the check in process. I worked in hotels and you cannot bulk all the guests in the reception even an hour later the check in time... Process was slooow and staff could have been friendlier to make it up. They forgot to give us bracelets for the breakfast which we paid for, the remote for ac making us make useless trips back and forth to the reception and having to wait (again)... Our stay was short to every minute was kind of precious. Our room smelled like humidity (we live here so we know it is normal) but our friends' was the wooden one and smelled amazing! Anyway, we still had a good time, the place is nice, Isla is beautiful and our company was great! Breakfast was not well cooked even if I specified I needed it well cooked so I couldn't eat it... I would stay here again for sure I would just be on top of the service now that I know what to expect!

Beautiful hostel/hotel, on the beach, super centric, 5 min walk to Playa Norte, nice decoration and I liked the Saturday night party even if I went to relax it was nice enjoying a little and after the music did not bother us. Esthetically very pleasant and they also have free drinking water.

The room smell a lot to mold, there are many product nowadays to treat that. Also it could help if change the air conditioner, It didn’t feel that work well, just the fans. So, if I closed the curtain It felt so hot. It could be great if you guys have a bigger space for “waiting luggage”

The location it is really good, so close to playa Norte. The kitchen and common areas were clean.

beautiful hostel, pool and common areas are stunning and so well kept. hammocks are super comfy and food is good. the air con in my room didn’t work but the fan was ok. from right behind the hostel on the beach you can watch the sun rise which is incredible and playa Norte is a 5 minute walk away. really good location! lots of activities organised by the hostel too - really good for solo travellers!

No beach access but the playa norte beaches were very close by so we did not experience this as a big problem. Activities were cancelled.

The property could have a more organized check in process. The luggage storage was a mess, and really delayed the check in time. Would have been nice to arrive to an air conditioned room, our room was so hot we have to leave the property to cool down.

The property was beautiful and the amenities were amazing! The restaurant/ bar at the property really makes the vibe great. The atmosphere was all around great and the location is perfect. Everything was walking distance from the property.

I know this is not exactly hotels fault but I reserved in a shared room with females and they were not clean at all. Their clothes and stuff were all places, obstructing the hall. This makes my stay not as comfortable as it could be & bathroom for shared rooms is not that pretty.

The hotel is beautiful and all the spaces are a perfect match, location, restaurants, bar. Parties at night were the best!

No hot water in the showers. No where to rinse sand off your feet coming back from the beach to your room which means sand ended up all over the room. Walls are paper thin so we heard all of our neighbors who loved to play very loud music until the early morning hours and sing along with their music.

Bit strange that people staying at the hostel had to “pay” for the sunbeds and the service at the bar area was very poor. The bar wasn’t actually a part of the hostel which was strange.

The location and pool area of this hostel is fantastic. Also great for people working remotely.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a private room with a shared bathroom. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several ways. The walls are made of wood, which makes the rooms extremely noisy — you can hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway. One of the most frustrating things was that the cleaner repeatedly opened the door without knocking, even though there was a clear “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on the door. Additionally, rooms are cleaned very early in the morning (around 8–9 AM), making it impossible to sleep in or relax. The advertised activities were underwhelming, and there were no social events or parties in the evenings — not even during the weekend — which was disappointing given the expectations.

On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, and the location is excellent — close to everything you need. Pedro was very friendly.

This was my second time at this Selina and I don't know what happened between last year and now but the hotel has lost it's soul quite literally. Last year I had the best time here and it's probably why I came back to the island, but it felt like it wasn't even the same place. The vibe is gone, there are no activities, and it feels like the staff doesn't really want to be there either. I thought I was 'treating' myself to a nice private room but it was more like a severely overpriced downgrade. A year ago I would have recommended it a 100%, but now definitely not. It's not worth the money.

Ok straight up: the walls are pointless. I could hear everything from both neighbours- toilet flushes, phone notifications etc LET ALONE the conversations they'd have at midnight, 2am, etc. it's noisy and reception were pretty useless at helping. The security guard (male) walked Into my bedroom. The cleaning staff left long dark hairs on the bed twice, didn't change the sheets despite blood (boyfriends back scratch), didn't fill our shower gel so we used shampoo to wash. It's a smaller room than you think, and not really a wardrobe (check pics). Shower pressure - hugely variable. Hot and cold at random. Good enough to wash hair tho but on top of everything else was noticeable. I'd say the sheets are scratchy. Breakfast is 'included' but ONLY the first 5 items in the menu. Still includes eggs, pancakes and a chia bowl, but just telling you now, you can't have the rest and GOD FORBID you want milk with your coffee- that's extra. It took them 30minutes to serve our coffee even after I chased it. Juice is included, but thos was only made apparent in our third day. First day the milk was free. So ..yeah breakfast also became an issue. The beachfront- unswimmable. Red flags and no swimming signs. The pool is used for diving so quite dirty. Finding the hotel is fun as it's not got a sign out front, so we walked into the padi centre. BLUF: You can hear everything, breakfast is limited and slow, the room is adequate and functional but not 'great' but the hotels in a really good location.

The location is pretty terrific, and the hotel is very tiki- hammocks, wood, straw roofs, palm trees.

This property is extremely loud with music and people making noise into the early hours of the morning. The rooms have no sound proofing and even doors slamming can be heard throughout the night. We didn’t enjoy our stay even with moving rooms. The room itself is very basic and dark, and the sheets are like sandpaper. The beach and location are great, but It’s very overpriced for a private room and not what we were expecting

Only thing that was annoying was having to pay for bags to be kept inside reception after check out. It was expensive! With extra fees as well to hold a bag. This is a new thing I've never experienced with any Selinas in he past. Personally spoils the lovely stay. Id advise to get rid of this new policy. 🙏

Staff was very rude while we were checking in, beach is not for using, full of rocks. It’s very few camastros, not enough for people. Super noisy, you can hear every noise. Shared bathroom also not comfortable.
