Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumAll pictures related to the cenote/swimming area are NOT on this property. It is a 3km drive to get there with an exceptional high entrance fee ($500 pesos).
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are basic but ok. It's living together within a Mexican family (sort of AirBnB vibe). In general it's ok, as long as you're not expecting the pictures (see below)

SpainThe area hasn't developed enough tourism, there is one cenote close to visit and see that it is ready to get some tourists, but nothing else to do. There is a wild cenote just next to the town, if they manage to clean it and promote it they could have much more in the area
It was comfortable

United KingdomThere’s a lot of road and rail work being done in the area so it was a tiny bit confusing to get there. We figured it out easy enough. We weren’t sure if we could order food or use the kitchen or what was around. This is more our fault due to limited spanish. The bathroom toilet didn’t have a toilet seat. This seems to be somewhat common around so not a big deal. Just putting here for people to know.
Nice people running the place. Affordable. We decided to stop here to break up the drive between Campeche and Palenque and visit the cenotes and park. The room had its own bathroom, wifi and air conditioning. There were some parrots we got to feed. I suspect that this place is going to explode (massively grow in size) once the Maya train is completed. Exciting to visit before that happens

United StatesThe place is miles from the cenote. It is in the middle of the small pueblo just before the cenote, which was confusing given the picture advertising the place. Also, the train they are building now cuts the town in two and really distracts from the beauty and remoteness of the place. Very poor signage, as well. I never would have found it without help from a local who led me there on her moped.
The food was fresh and local, prepared by the grandmother. The place was very charming with turkeys and chickens running through a beautifully landscaped yard. A very nice look at rural Mexican life. GREAT VALUE.

GermanyDespite of what it says in the description, no-one spoke English. But they showed a lot of patience until we understood each other.
Very friendly people and very nice small room with own washroom. They will prepare you something for dinner which is nice, because there are no restaurant in the village (that I saw). You feel at home.

NetherlandsThere was nothing I didn't like about this accommodation!
The location was easy to find with Google Maps. It is a small village in rural area. Perfect if you don't like tourist hotspots: a complete immersion in the local life. The rooms are individual little houses with a bedroom and bathroom. It is very basic, but the most important things are there: toilet (without toilet seat) and shower (not sure if hot water worked, we didn't tried that). The ceiling of the bathroom as quite low, about 1.80m. Beds (2 beds of 150cm x 200cm) were very comfortable and the AC worked very well! There is even a TV in the bedroom. The host family was super friendly and they made an excellent breakfast and dinner. Few important things: - Take some Spanish classes, so you can communicate with the family. It's very interesting and fun to interact with them. - Don't forget your mosquito repellent! It's a rural area. - Again, it's rural area with rural sounds. Be prepared for some 'noise' crowing roosters, turkeys, barking dogs etc.

The stay is very cosy! It feels like you're part of the family during your stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit off the beaten path in a tiny village, but the nearby cenote is great. Perfect for a road trip to or from Campeche or any other nearby city!

SwitzerlandThe location is not correct on google map. We expectet a nice finca in the woods. No way, the posada is in the middle of the village, right next to the church. On the property a lot of garbage. The cabañas are very basic, but so far ok for 1 night. Coffee is horrible, food ok.
Different experience to stay with a mexican family. The cenote azul is 3 km from the posada and worth to visit.

SpainRaul and his family are amazing!! We were basically part of it from the first moment! The place is amazing and we wished we could have stayed at least 2 nights in the calm and really nice town Many nature spots to see (walk in the jungle with Raul, cave with millions of bats, [expensive] cenote) Breakfast, dinner and lunch can be prepared by his mother (if you want) which is amazing because there are not many places around Recommended!!
