Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFelt more like camping than a hotel, but didn’t mind this at all since only stayed for a couple nights. Wouldn’t want to stay longer without hot water or AC in the room. The door was hard to lock and was a pretty frustrating at times.
Unique, beautiful, and centrally located. The owner was very open and honest about construction across the street and provided a sound machine which helped a lot.

GermanyThe first room that I had which was too noisy and the lack of Information in the rooms concerning the use of the television and access to warm water.
This is a very unexpected property full of charm in the middle of Puerto Morelos and very near of the beach. All the bedrooms are different and decorated in a mexicain style with beautifull wooden pieces. But one of the result of the good location is that some bedrooms may be very noisy because of the city traffic . The breakfast is freshly prepared and different each day but is a little bit too late at 9.

United KingdomI struggled to get into the property as details were sent late and I didn’t have signal / sim didn’t work when I landed so had to sit outside for 45mins before another guest let me in.
The architecture is incredible! It’s such a different stay and all of the small things are thought about! It was one of my favourite places to stay, location is perfect!

United StatesBreakfast was not great, but regular cook ws not there that day. Pool was small and not really in a space for lounging and sunbathing. Hard to get ahold of staff when we arrived.
Location was fantastic. Everything was walkable. Host was helpful in arranging a tour. Beautiful property and private. Secured be locked gate..

CanadaA couple of very small things - the stairs going up to the palapa room were a bit iffy and hard to navigate. You need to take great care on the stairs, and particularly when carrying your bags.
Magical Gilligan's Island type getaway with a touch of Gaudi. There's only one of these, that's for sure. The breakfast was fantastic. Individually made tortilla espanol with tomatoes cooked in basil, an array of fresh fruit to start, and great coffee. The kitchen staff were warm and friendly too.

CanadaNo room cleaning during three days .No shampoo, shower soap available or drinking water so bring your own. Nobody around after 4pm so do arrangements for check-in in advance
Amazing architecture which makes the stay worthwhile. Well situated and very close to all restaurants, beach and activities. A little noise but nothing extreme where my room was situated. Breakfast was ok but served too late.

United StatesAbsolutely loved staying in this little bohemian slice of paradise. Comfy bed, charming spacious room with chairs, tables and hamac and the breakfast that is included is hearty and delicious. Place was clean, staff was kind and unobtrusive. I was in room 6 which is a bit more rustic but I enjoyed being set back from the road. For anyone with mobility issues though, contact the hotel and be sure to book the downstairs room as all other rooms have a lot of stairs. Recommended to anyone who enjoys an accommodation that is out of the ordinary. It's a very special place and I plan to come back!

United KingdomWe were happy with our stay. We were trouble by mosquito bites but understand this is an issue across the area.
We were very pleased with the location as it is so close the the town centre. The breakfasts were very simple but very much enjoyed. The chef and other staff were so helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed our stay. The area where we were served breakfast was delightful and very special with shading from the trees and plants

United Arab EmiratesLa Quinta Orquídea is a quirky and beautiful hotel right at the beginning of Puerto Morelos. The architecture is quite unique and the rooms mirror that. My room seemed small but had everything I needed. Including a little seat outside. The breakfast was good tui get you started. The location was great, with everything in waking distance.

CanadaAcross the street there is a new building under construction which can be noisy during the day but it didn't bother us really.
Nice central location only 3 blocks from the beach and pier, close to many restaurants. We stayed in the air conditioned suite on the ground floor. It was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good (coffee and fruit plate followed by a hot meal) served by the gracious chef. No mosquitos when we were there.

CanadaThe only negative would be shower was always cold . If you're a light sleeper, there is lots of noise in the area as windows are netting only. Even the hike up spiralling stairs to the room was manageable!
I'm hesitant to give a glowing rating, as you don't want folks to figure this out! An amazing place, but I think either you love it or you don't. Staff is friendly, Armando provides breakfast poolside to get you going. It's a place where unique travelers gather and trade stories. Very different set up to your traditional hotel.

United StatesThough I loved the place, having no AC in the warmer months would be unbearable for me. Fan is included in the room, however. The toilet began to stink after a day or so which wasn’t pleasant.
The hotel looks like something akin to a Smurf village. Lots of funky twists and turns that’ll make you smile. A very garden/jungle- like outside creates a cool atmosphere. A small pool feels great after a sweaty day. Helpful staff explained the ins and outs of the property via message on this site.

United StatesIt is in a busy area of town with associated vehicular noise at early morning hours. The hotel has apparently just gotten started and has a few detail amenities to work out; reading/table lamps, in room garbage recepticles. It's like a town secret so far so rely on the address to find it and not the hotel name
This is a one of a kind artists vision combining natural materials and decorative wood into a quaint hotel structure providing about 8 unique lodging spaces. The staff is very attentive and the facility very secure. Located downtown with the feel of a secluded oasis.

United KingdomInteresting architecturally, there is a small pool and great central location. Armando who is a manager is very friendly and speaks very good English as does his fellow lady staff member. Good breakfast with excellent coffee and refills included. A good economical choice in a town of inflated hotel prices.
