MexicoI didn't like the staff , the music was terrible and loud , I couldn't even relax on the beach without listening to it, the beach was filled with people selling stuff and services, as if it wasn't s private beach ,very dirty , the sand was filled with cigarette roaches , it felt like a very low class party filled with tattooed people with chains and tank shirts. The pools couldn't be more busy and dirty. The drinks are terrible quality , the waiters wouldn't want to serve unless you were tipping them. There is no room service and they can't even send you a bottle of water or anything to your room. The pillows are so old. There are only 4 elevators which are together in the same core giving service to about 1000 rooms , plus the staff. Interior design is very poor. There is only one bar open for most of the day which is so far from everything. Nasty place to be. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has a highschool degree or higher. Sorry if I'm being honest I don't mean to offend anyone.
The Italian restaurant is pretty decent, Its the only restaurant that I could recommend. The other thing that I have to admit is that they have a good ice cream , Jaqueline and Gina also behaved very nice all of the time

MexicoWe had a problem with the payment at the beginning with the credit card, we would like the option to pay before arriving at the hotel so we can fix any problems that will exist in the check-in and not lose too much time in it. Finally we had to pay in cash which was an uncomfortable situation...
Everything was pretty good, amazing food, cool pool (a little bit dirty but ok), comfy rooms and a fun animation team with funny games at the pool... It is definitely a great option to visit, you won't regret it...

AustraliaThe room was dated. There was one staff member I think his name Mr Black who at times seemed like a bit of a tyrant. The pool was a bit busy and a few types that didn't promote pool enterage. Plenty of room for pacing both in the room and down the beach.
The free drinks were great and the beach was nice and most the staff were super friendly and helpful.

United StatesI did not like the location, it was too far from anything that was needed. the food was horrible except my ribeye steak I had. none of the food had flavor and every Buffett seemed to have the same choices. the food was not appetizing at all, if I come from the U.S. to Mexico I want to enjoy some delicious Mexican food. The rooms had roaches or some type of bugs on the bed, I did not make it a big deal because I had kids with me along with my wife. the AC system needs some more horsepower, they barely blew any air, we had to request a different room. I wish the pool bars stayed opened later and that it had servers coming around for rounds of beer. the staff was friendly, but both the people painting faces during the neon party. the beds also smelled like urine that was discussing.
the hotel was nice, the pool was fun, toddler pool was great for the kids. the night life was was fun, great music but ended too soon.

MexicoHotel is far away from any point of interest. Rooms are dirty: floor, drinking glasses, found a cockroach on the bed. Elevators are very slow to arrive, people flocks waiting for one, many opt to take stairs. There are too many rooms for the hotel facilities: for breakfast the restaurants are full and one has to loose time looking for a table because all are taken; pools are crowded. Couldn't find where to eat between 2:00 and 6:30 pm. Towels are dirty and worn out. In general, there's a line for everything. Customers are mainly families with children from toddlers to teens, so there's a family environment.
Personnel is usually very kind. Food is ok for the price. Beach is nice to swim.

MexicoThe room was old and stale. There was rust on metal accesorios in the room. Lighting in the room was very poor. I would not consider this hotel a five star resort as it claims. I also got sick from the food. My reservation was for three nights. I was only able to enjoy the first night. I ended up in the nearby hospital due to the bug that I got. It cost be an arm and a leg. Almost as much are our 3 nights stay. Very disappointed as I was really looking forward to staying at this 5 star hotel. It took me another 4 days to recover from the food poisoning.

United StatesThe only issue that I had was that we could not connect to the Wi-Fi properly. This few sentence is for the general managers and CEO of Riu, please give your employees a good raise. They are the ones who make Riu look nice and welcoming, and they should be recognized for all that they do.
The whole entire vibe of the place was fantastic. The employees were ready to greet you and help you with any questions that we had. oh, and all the bar staff and basically everyone that works there are amazing.
