Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesCommon areas were clean and well decorated. Staff super helpful, but the rooms didn’t live up to the same standards. The AC in my room didn’t work and the bath towels were thin and small.

United StatesVery busy area. Not that it's bad in itself but having been in Oaxaca before we enjoyed the area around the Templo Santa Domingo as it was quieter and more relaxed
Great design. Very friendly staff. Close to Zocolo and 2 blocks from markets.

United StatesI felt the hotel was overpriced for the location. But it was a very unique boutique hotel. And very private once you were on property.

United StatesOur bedroom had no windows (which was unclear before booking) and the WiFi was spotty throughout the property and didn’t stretch to our room. This might seem like a small thing but when spending $600+ a night, solid in room WiFi feels like a must have (especially as, due to the lack of windows, cell phone service is no good). The hotel had tried to fix this issue by employing a single extender which, to use the internet I would go and sit by downstairs. My strong advice: buy 2 or 3 more extenders and make sure WiFi stretches to every single room. Your guests truly expect this in 2025.
Fantastic design. Truly a beautiful building and vibe. Great location.

United StatesMy room could have used a chair to sit on, not just the cute little chairs.
When you stepped into the lobby, you feel calmness and tranquility surround you. The inside courtyard invites you to spend time relaxing with others or just rejuvenate. Coming back to the hotel in the evening, the candles gave a wonderful glow. It was nice to have the option to have cool air from an air conditioner or just from the large ceiling fan. Occasional use of an umbrella was very convenient. The staff you always available and very friendly. The rooms were keep clean every day. It was nice having "Electrolyte" and drinking water in the rooms and in the atrium. I loved the bar and dining options on the roof restaurant, especially the freshly-made breakfast options. The Art and decor was modern and thought provoking. The extra touches like fruit and chocolates, soothing music, earplugs, and small cut-out door made the experience even better.

CanadaWow! We were completely blown away from the start. We got in quite late but the guy at the front desk was ready for us & made sure we had everything we needed to get settled & comfortable. The next day the staff were super helpful getting us connected with some private tours. Our driver/tour guide was excellent, from the air conditioned vehicle (much appreciated as my boyfriend was still suffering from a touch of heat stroke) to the choice of venues & warm demeanor. We had a fabulous day! And then I can't say enough good things about the staff & their head chef! My son remotely (& secretly) arranged a Mother's Day surprise for me. They really went above & beyond preparing the most delicious & sumptuous breakfast, followed up by a gorgeous & incredibly delicious cake & floral bouquet. And yes, I was crying happy tears for most of that day! We finished our stay with a walking tour of the market & cooking class with the head chef. She is so talented & lovely! Another memorable day! And I mustn't forget the cool little bar adjoining the hotel. The staff were all so warm, friendly & engaging. The cocktails were always fabulous & we enjoyed our little routine of an evening night cap here before hitting the hay. The hotel itself is so gorgeous with an amazing attention to detail & a decor that incorporates & celebrates local traditional craft work & textiles. A true oasis! We will definitely be returning!

BrazilMy first morning there the restaurant staff wasn’t open to replace the honey-granola and the eggs for anything (and the breakfast there is basically that + toast). If you’re vegan let them know in advance so as you can ensure they will replace a few items from the breakfast for you, which they did for me from the second day on.
Hotel has a nice atmosphere, stylish areas and cozy rooms.

CanadaThere should be very clear notices everywhere that Oaxaca City is in a water crisis, and that water should be used sparingly.

Mexicothe place was beautiful but the price we payed per night was a lot, I thought our room would be slightly bigger, the bathroom was very tight The common spaces are nice but the couches upstairs are dirty, the sitting space downstairs is not functional unless you are there for a meditation retreat, and it's also a glass roof so extremely hot. the food was not amazing. Our AC was broken and super noisy at night. The pool is cool but there is nowhere to sit around it The main common spaces should have a lot more shade and proper sitting areas
The area as a whole was cool looking

Mexicowe should have stayed here longer! the city has lots to offer and we felt extremely confortable at the hotel. WIFI could be a bit better but this is a general issue all across Mexico. But for us was working fine.
We love the attention and the kindness of the staff. They were always happy to help us. The hotel building is colonial and very beautiful. The decorations inside were also amazing as well as all the art exposed within the premise. There are always exhibiting art from local artists like Doktor Lakra!

PortugalWhat i disliked i said to the staff and they promptly resolved it, with a smile. Very well trained staff.
Excelent architecture, very cozy and welcoming staff. very good bed and shower. There are good vegan options and also other good options with meat and fish. The rooftop is a must see, like a very private garden.

United KingdomI love that this hotel is right in the middle of downtown - so close to everything we wanted to visit, and yet when we enter the building it's like an oasis of calm and tranquility. Best of both worlds! Also we're vegetarian and it can be so difficult to find good vegetarian food while traveling in Mexico - Restaurante Sin Nombre exceeded our expectations by miles! Beyond the great veggie fare, the main patio is so beautiful to sit in - we lounged for hours on end, every morning and afternoon while we dined. The upstairs terrace is beautiful too and offers a different menu.

United StatesI have no negative comments, everything was perfect.
I’m an active traveler and one of the things I notice most about hotels: shower and bed. The hotel shower meets all my expectations, and the bed is something else, very confortable with high quality beddings clean and crisp, in a way that makes you not want to leave! Staying at Hotel Sin Nombre is an experience! Gastronomic, arquitectural and artistic. A Tasteful atmosphere, attention to detail, excellent service, welcoming staff, amazing food with a regular menu and a full vegetarian menu option, the rooftop with pool was perfect to relax after a busy day in the city. I will certainly be back!

GermanyAlmost no warm water and water pressure very low (very! Low) which made showering a difficult experience - long hair wouldve been impossible to wash. // The included breakfast was just scrambled eggs with a slice of bread, some fruits and one hot beverage. // Very noisy on weekend nights with a DJ blasting full volume directly in front of our window. // wifi unusable with zero connection in the room (despite ours being located on top of the reception area)
Design of the hotel and rooms // mattess was hard and comfortable // location was very convenient // staff was super attentive and welcoming and remembered our preferences // bathroom amenities smell really good // received complimentary welcome drink coupons for the rooftop bar which we did not use, but nice gesture // we stayed in one of their Sicaru Suites (25sqm) with window which felt nice and large. Would not recommend to stay in a lower category due to the possibility of getting a no-window room which would probably get very stuffy
