Hard to dry clothes and towels

Room was filthy. We had no hot water our whole stay. We reported both issues to the staff multiple times and no one seemed to care. We were told both times that someone would look into it and no one ever responded.

Construction going on across the road so extremely noisy all day long! That’s the only downfall!

The staff were fantastic, the location would be great under normal circumstances and it was clean. The rooftop is beautiful 🤩

The shower wasn’t the best… bad pressure and wasn’t always hot. It was also a bit loud because it is close to all the clubs.

LOVED the rooftop pool and space! Great place to hangout and Angel (the bartender) is the sweetest!

Management communication and false advertising in the ad. This place was another classic case of each room having a different owner/manager. Some people lived in the hotel, some people are seasonal, some people just Air BnB/short term rent them out. This made cohesion and room upgrades/switches difficult. The ad stated we would get a safe in the room. As it turned out, nothing got stolen and we were happy about that. I've had stuff stolen out of my room in Mexico before, so I was upset our room didn't get the safe and it was my partner's first time in Mexico, so she was hoping for that security too. Also, the ad showed a balcony in the picture with the room. I guess that was Photoshop magic, since we received no such luxury! Too bad. I would have liked that option, as my partner likes to go to bed earlier than I do. Thirdly, we had no hot water and the cloudy days made us crave a shower that was warmer than ours. Everybody else we talked to didn't have that issues, and we kept mentioning it for three days in a row (with the other issues brought up to). We told staff and they kept messaging the manager. We also personally messaged the manager and we're ignored for days on end. Finally, he agreed to move us to a new unit that was the exact same, with slightly warmer water. No safe again. But the best part was that the new room was super quiet and easier to sleep! No more club music until 3 AM!

We loved how we were close to the water and also close to the "action." There was the main tourist walking street right near us, so that was entertaining in itself, just to walk around. The rooftop pool made the whole rental worth it. That was the main selling point. So great. And awesome city and ocean views! Also, the pool made the place a unique way to meet new people of all walks of life. We also had streaming abilities in our rooms on the TVs...when we got too much sun that day! The staff were super helpful and did all that they could to help us with our room issues.

If you did not come to playa to party and have fun then it’s a noisy from all the bars and restaurants and clubs right next door. Music goes on until 3am.

Only thing I’d say I didn’t like was that the staff wasn’t really attentive, the day we arrived we were in the lobby along with another couple waiting for about half an hour for someone to come down to the lobby and help us check in

Everything was basically great, great location (1 block from 5th Ave & 1 block from the beach) rooms were clean and comfortable (it’s like a small apartment, includes everything you need, refrigerator, stove, microwave, plates, cups, silverware ect…)

very loud in night due to surrounding clubs. there was only 1 key available, we got robbed (including key) and had to spend the night outside to wait for the cleaning lady so we could open the door again... not understandable that there is not another key available at reception.

Slow check in, rooms were not clean at 3pm. A bit disorganized with the check in No people at the front desk when checked out. Safety box wasn’t working or didn’t have battery, nobody was able to help me out

ok for one night. it's a very small room on the groundfloor with no view what so ever. thus we spent the evening in the rooftop area watching the ocean and the city which was great. no drinking water provided. good wifi.

They never cleaned our room, only stayed for two nights and the trash basket was already overflowing, shower water was alternating between hot and cold every 20 seconds or so, the jacuzzi could be hotter.

Hot tub was almost always luke warm tub.

Close to 5th ave but not on 5th. Friendly staff. Beach nearby. Best Halloween / Day of the Dead parade this year and I've seen plenty. Loud music nearby wasn't that bad in my room.

I have stayed at this property several times but I think this was My last. Granted I have stayed in different rooms each time as I sometimes book via different sources, the room I stayed at this time was just not being kept up. The walls were dirty and had marks in almost every room. The AC is so loud that it took me a while to fall asleep. The room is facing the clubs and that is additional noise to consider because you do hear the music. Bathrooms were also not deeply cleaned. The shelf for shampoos has rust on it. The water in the master bathroom was not hot at all. There was lipstick stains on one of the pillows.

The location is great and close to 5th Avenue and the beach. the rooftop pool is wonderful and never too busy plus there is a bar. The room it’s self is spacious.

AC does not work in this room. This is the second time we have been put in this room and AC doesn't work. I have stayed in about ten other rooms here in this building and AC had always worked but they said it's like that in the whole building. This is my fav place to stay in Playa Del Carmen but avoid room 113 unless you like to sleep in a warm room. Prices for drinks on the rooftop have gone way up and they weren't very good.

The bed was too big for the room, therefore limited space,the door lock wasn't working properly.

Location to the beach and 5th avenue. The view from the pool was exceptional.

Our safe was jammed open when we arrived and after 3 days of discussing this with the various desk staff and being told that they couldn't get a master key, we returned on the 3rd day to find that someone had stolen cash from a wallet tucked under clothes in a suitcase. suddenly within about an hour of reporting this, they had the key to the safe and could reset the code so that it functioned. After 15 years of travelling to various areas and kinds of accommodations in Mexico, this was our first theft ever. Funny note, they took only a single large denomination bill and left the remaining. And we know what was in the wallet because it was exactly what was needed for the trip to the airport, counted and set aside. Use the safe.

We like the night life and being downtown during the day and the location was perfect for accessing this, while being easy walking distance to the public beaches. We walked to either the Mega or Walmart 3 times for bottled water and breakfast supplies, no great effort required and we are late 40's with average fitness levels. we had an interior room so the nearby club noise was not an issue. If you're fussy, bring ear plugs. the roof top pool area was great. Very low use by guests so there is lots of seating and we hosted our friends that were staying at another hotel a number of times. great view! basic cash bar service available, bring your own food. The pool and area was clean and maintenance was there every day attending to anything needed. free wifi *note, you'll need to bring the pool towels from your room and might have to ask for them.

We stayed here 2 times before - 1st in a single very small room, and then in a 1-bedroom suite which was excellent. This time, in the 2-bedroom suite, we had some issues. The microwave had something wrong with the door latch and we only made it work once. The stovetop was hard to figure out - maybe some instructions would be good. We managed that once but not again. And the ice maker wasn't working, and it was several days in till we found the trays to make ice. Also, the TV screens didn't show a picture in 2 of the rooms (main TV and the room with the King bed).

We love the location and mainly, the pool.
