Pros: Shower was excellent. Room design is exactly what we were looking for. Great balcony from the second floor of our room. Beautiful grounds. Mattress was very comfortable. Water service and refill was convenient. Cons: AC blew right on heads in bed. We could not use it. We had a leak in our room from the heavy rain. Breakfast is so so. Beach not in the best location on the island.

There could be more hooks inside the room and bathroom for hanging up wet bathing suits and towels, as well as more hangers for hanging up clothing.

The location and proximity to the beach, as well as the beautiful grounds were my favorite things about Zomay. The free breakfast was delicious and the location and views of the restaurant are fantastic.

We had the pleasure of staying five nights at Hotel Zomay on the beautiful island of Holbox, and it was an absolute dream! The rooms may not be the newest, but they have exactly the authentic charm you’d want for a relaxing beach getaway. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the proximity to the beach is unbeatable. What impressed us the most was the beautifully designed hotel grounds, full of tropical plants and cozy spots that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming—you can tell they love what they do. Ricardo was a fantastic host, providing us with lots of great tips and always happy to chat. The bar and restaurant staff were also very attentive and quick, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was a real highlight! Compared to many other hotels in Mexico, it was varied, delicious, and of great quality—a fantastic way to start the day. Hotel Zomay is the ideal place for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic getaway on Holbox. The combination of a fantastic location, warm hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere won us over completely. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel!

the cleaning process can be improved as having a baby that sleeps during also the morning it was difficult even asking to perform the cleaning in the times it was supposed to be performed. the pillow of the bed was not the best. I slept without in order to avoid neck ache. the toilet ( in the room we had) did not have natural air or forced air so it accumulates bad smell. at the moment there is a construction site near so during the day there might be some noise near the houses ( not so much on the beach) and I think for another year it will be so, maybe it will become less noise as at the moment they are doing the metal work.

the location was the best with an infant as it is very close to the sea and did not take much effort to spend the days. the staff (Carmen, Coco, Daniele) was very friendly and helpful to solve problems. the food and the drinks were good. the baby was happy over all and we also were. there were different musicians and djs at sunset on the beach. plenty of different spaces. birds singing.

Best place in Holbox! right on the beach, with cool bean bags, hammocks and beds, and relaxing atmosphere. in addition they have a huge garden with more than 50 palm trees. Nice cafe and bar, food was great and fresh! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The beach at this spot was the dirtiest due to currents and waves at this specific “corner” location, compared to any other spots to the right. Staff didn’t make a continues effort to clean up, so couldn’t get into the sea here :( Had to go to near-bye beaches to swim. How the restaurant was run was a joke , waiters were ok though. Price-quality here was bad. Needs new management for sure. We complained about some things to the receptionist, nothing at all happened.

It was located close to the center and right at the beach. It had a lot of common space with many options to relax. Room was spacious.

the stuff is super nice. thanks again gor helping me with my request! the beach area and the location of the hotel is also great. near enough to the centee yet enough away to have a calm and relaxed time. also they have nets all around the room so if you zre scaree of bugs like I am this is just great. thanks a lot. i will come back :-)

Location is brilliant. Right on the beach and perfect for sunsets. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We really loved lounging on the beach on the comfy beds having drink and food service from the bar. Breakfast was great too, a lot of choice!

The air conditioning in the room was pretty sub-par. I understand the rustic nature of the island, and that it wasn't necessarily in the hotel's control. I just wasn't quite prepared for the heat!

I loved the beach-front location. It was a perfect place to view the sunset, and the beach was wonderful for swimming. The beachfront chairs and daybeds were comfortable, and there was always one available for use.

Little issues with water and bathroom faucet was made from a seashell that splashed water all over. Just a design flaw.

The matress of the bed is strange. Is so soft that all your body goes inside, next day we had pain in our neck &back. Maybe it was just in our room but I reccommend to change mattres because hotel is quite expensive so for the price you pay it should be better. Also few nights we had very loud girls talking very loud in the terrace, of course this is not hotel fault

Some of stuff is not nice. Some is nice. Receptionist asked to bring her back and adapter at night when all devices were out of battery. It’s okay to do so if you asked in advance. They do not clean seaweed. Beach not so clean. However, we went to Punta Coco and there was no such problem. Also, ir was superb windy, while in punta coco beach there was no wind at all. We asked if there is any place in the island where would be less wind, but they told that all island is in the wind which was not true. We saved two days of beach by escaping to Punta Coco beach. Also, it was not not clean enough around our bungalow. Seems they cleaned all the area except around our bungalow. Seemed that we live in a garage area. The room was clean. Nothing to complain. Also, there js a problem with mosquitos. Bring a spray! They are everythere around the island. And if you are from Europe bring adapters to charge your iphones. They do not provide with the adapters. Breakfast plus minus OK. You can choose from many options. In my opinion the price is too high. We stayed in Tulum in 3 stars hotel which was much cheaper and more comfortable and clean.
