Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongI had a great stay of 4 nights in this hotel. I was located in Block B and the room was nice, spacious, clean and quiet. There are water dispensers on every floor. Both blocks have a rooftop pool and gym and facilities can be used in both buildings. The breakfast is in the patio of Block A and you can choose between indoor and outdoor seating. Wide choice of local and international food. Only remark, the food could sometimes be replenished more quickly. Staff (reception, doorman, breakfast and cleaning personnel) always very friendly and attentive. Not a problem to check in and out during night hours. Good value for money.

United KingdomThe breakfast is served outside where it is quite humid and the food was not as good quality as comparable places we had stayed in Malaysia.
Comfortable, clean and spacious modern room. The facilities were new, with a good albeit small gym and nice pool area.

Brunei DarussalamHowever, the toilet bowl water would sometimes cut off unexpectedly, which was inconvenient during personal cleaning.
I recently stayed at Block B of the hotel. It is a new section - it is clean, and my room had all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel location is excellent.

Everything was great, the room and facilities area are very clean and of high quality services. Hope the hotel will continue to provide exceptionally good service in the future. Would definitely come here again if I ever need to stay in Georgetown!

United KingdomI absolutely loved my stay here.. its close to all the main restaurants and shopping malls 1st Ave is a must! Food all around Tty it all.. from Chinese fusion to Vietnamese its limitless the good food. There is a free bus right outside the port when you arrive off ferri cat free bus it says..that goes all around the town.. the buildings are stunning. The hotel breakfast was good, could provide more fruit? The pool ares very small and only a few beds so that's annoying. But I've signed up to be a citadine member will discover more of their hotels..

MalaysiaThe Hotel is in Heritage Building and low rise (Booking.com showed it as a high rise building which was a mistake. The Room is quite small. The entrance is not visible and no proper bay to unload luggage when driving with a car. Basically, not that convenient when driving to the place.
The Hotel is located in the city centre with low density

MalaysiaVery good stay in Penang. Super clean and comfortable hotel. Nearby have a lot of local food and attraction place. But, the aunty in reception serve customer in Block A during April 6 (around 12-1pm) was super rude to her colleagues and client. I will file a complaint about this on her attitude, very impatient to the customer and her face was super impatient with no smile, she even show the super annoying attitude to her colleagues. Please do investigation and training to such rude attitude staff.

MalaysiaThe room I stayed in needed some maintenance. When I first arrived, the electronic lock didn’t work. After entering, there was a bad smell in the room, likely from the bathroom. Additionally, the smart bathroom curtains couldn’t be operated. However, after reporting these issues to the hotel front desk, they were quickly resolved.
The hotel has a great location, with many local foods and shopping places nearby. Although it is next to a main road, it is not noisy. The hotel lobby has a comfortable lounge area and offers free coffee, tea, and cookies. After shopping, you can relax and enjoy a coffee, making for a very comfortable experience.

IrelandPool and gym in building B is very small.
Staff were so helpful, polite and nice to deal with. The hotel thinks of everything, umbrellas are out ready at the door for guests when it’s raining. There is complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits which was such a nice touch. The reception areas in both buildings are really nice. Breakfast was nice with a large amount of options. Rooms are small but tidy and the beds are so comfortable. Walking distance between most places.

Hong KongGood choices of breakfast Room is clean and tidy WiFi is quite fast Air conditioning is very good Water filter machine in the corridor is very good, can have cold and hot water. Things that not satisfied: fringe is not cold, is warm so cannot keep cold drinks or fruit; the door of the room we stayed is hard to open and close. And the bedding is too soft that cannot have good sleep.
