Despite informing them of my arrival time there was nobody on-site, at the accommodation, to meet me on arrival, or for check-in. You have to telephone the owners & wait for them to arrive. This is the same if you have any problems through the night. This is a minor inconvenience, & the benefits far out way this negative point. The shared bathrooms, whilst functional, are in need of renovations to match the standard of the room.

If you're looking for your own room (shared bathroom) in budget accommodation very close to the dive shops, & Semporna jetty, then this is an excellent choice. The beds are extremely comfortable, far better than expected for this price range, the bedding & room were very fresh & clean, & the owners were incredibly helpful.

It didn’t feel that safe - you can walk all the way up from the street without having to open any locks. My room door just had one lock on it.

Requested a double bed, got no reply and ended up with 2 singles Bed linen was marked and dirty Room not sound proofed so all the noises from the street and water systems kept us up all night No toilet roll, soap or shampoo on arrival - everything empty and Toilet roll on replaced when asked Mosquitos in the room, staff went to spray but had run out so just left them and never came back Had to call 3 different numbers to be able to check out (even though I messaged them with check out time) as reception isn't manned and there was no reply after multiple calls and messages

it is not a cozy place neither the common area nor the room itself there is no reception, but you have to communicate via whatsapp so someone can give you the room keys. the staff does not speak english, but are trying to communicate via translate app, which is still rather difficult also they do not have much information to share or freedom to act to your questions. the private bathrooms have no room window (only a small one in the bathroom).

our room in another hotel was overbooked so we booked this place on short notice. the location is great, it was clean and there is a cloth rag on the shared balcony. beds were comfortable and the bath had a window. Location is good for day trips.

There was no water in the bathroom for at least 15 hours and no bucket of water available to at least throw in the toilet, so imagine the smell. I couldn’t even wash my hands/teeth. When we arrived, the Bathroom floor/toilet seat were soaked because (when there was water) someone took a shower and there’s not even a mop to clean the mess. The lobby was basically a desk in front of piles of sheets. They also asked for a cash deposit upon arrival, I guess they have their reasons though.

there’s no wifi but they state this on booking.com so fair enough. check in process was a bit tedious. the door doesn’t just open so you have to phone someone and then they turn up.

the location was great, the room was nice and clean and the bathroom provided free shampoo and shower gel. Nice communal balcony as well, handy for drying clothes or having a drink.

Would say it cost more than what it was worth, would have been helpful to have a reception to help organise trips. There is also no wifi and as backpackers we struggle with signal. Also Semporna town isn’t very nice so I would avoid staying here at all.

Property was in a good location, staff were helpful and checked us in and out right away. Bathrooms were clean and the air con was nice and strong.

Doesn't have a reception so you have to call and wait for the staff to arrive to check in or out, which can take a long time for someone to come. Shared bathrooms not ideal for that many rooms as it's a bit of a fight to get into them in the morning.

Simple rooms very good value for money in a great location. Room was comfortable and quiet.

My favourite place in semporna - I always try to stay here when I can. Awesome staff Small guesthouse so is nice and quiet. Comfy bed Private bathroom has great AC and clean bathroom Convenient for my needs when I come to the mainland from the island I live on.

Overbooking and did not have a room for me when I arrived after a tired day of diving Changes me to another hotel under the same company, which is 3km away, and asked me to pay for part of transport Poor staff attitude Lack of professionalism No reception at all - you need to call some number on their door and wait for almost 20min for someone to show up while you stand in the heat waiting

The place was very comfortable I've been in the king size bed room and the private room with private bathroom and double bed. Both were great, and clean and got AC. I also got very sick and the hotel staff brought me water so that was nice.

- Staff/ Boss communication style - No reception, waiting over 2hours for the room (after check in time) - Accusing of fraud, threatening and had to leave immediately after second night (new guest arrived for our room while we headed out)

Location is good, rooms are ok but not much in it except of the beds, so very basic.
