The hotel is very good! Quiet place away from the road. The stuff is friendly. 20 min walk from the beach. You can rent a scooter here, make your laundry and prepare your meals. The kitchen is equipped very well, it has everything you need. The pool is warm and clean enough. There are cute cats who can amuse you during your stay. However, it would be great if the floor in the kitchen and dining area was washed. It's a bit dirty there and trash has been lying around for weeks. The same goes for the pool area and the pool walls.

A bit far out (15 mins walk to beach or edge of centre), need a moped (had none available, but just through traffic lights got one 25 a day, good service). Grab taxi only 6 ringit or £1.10 each way. Not enough sunbeds around the pool (8).

Lovely clean big room, nice shower, soft towels, lots of storage, lovely pool area. Comfy bed. Quiet area. Nice towels for the pool area. Nice Shade by pool. Great chicken place left of entrance. Little general store by entrance ( did not sell alcohol).

We spent 4weeks, there was no microwave, but saw them purchase on on on the day we were leaving! Pool was superclean, but area surrounding needed regular cleaning which was ignored. Open sewers in surrounding area, and Muzin loudspeaker waking you up at 4am!!( not fault of hotel!)

The chalets were exceptional. Well kept and maintained. The staff, especially the two girls at reception were extremely polite and helpful and any problems were sorted out without delay. Room were spacious, hot water was plentiful with both air-conditioning and fans for temperature control, which is better than most 5star hotels! as you could either according to preference. WiFi was super and didn't keep collapsing. Pool was fabulous and clean and a delight to swim in. Pool towels also available, together with washing machine( MYR6) Walking of several low key superbly cheap buffet places. You load your plate from the excellent choices, and they price it. Usually about £2 a meal!!, but unfortunately only open for b/fast and lunch till 3pm. My favourite was Rest. Selera Padang Puteh ( opposite G Seafood) great Roti Canai for MYR1.20 ( £0.20P), my favourite!!. Kitchen was very well equipped, together with fab water dispenser--filtered cold, ambient and boiling hot water. Tea/ sugar available and regularly topped up. Hotel well back from road, so nice and quiet.

A few more plants and flowers to offset the concrete and paved flooring, but this is a personal preference.

The location is good if you have your own transport, but Grab is available otherwise. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are kitchen and laundry facilities which were also welcome features . Our room was near the pool and the view at the rear was overlooking the countryside.. The other rooms face each other and there is not as much privacy or views. Our room itself large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and reasonably soft instead of the usual ultra hard offerings. . Quiet and peaceful at night . Thoroughly recommend

The nutshell chalet is great for families a little bit out of the Main Street but easy to go for a walk or take a grab taxi, it’s super nice the rooms , swimming pool and laundry possibility , we loved our stay

Nutshell Chalet had everything we needed. Self contained ground floor chalet with bedroom and shower room. There is a small terrace at the front with a drying rack. Self service laundry on site - 6 MYR for washer and 5 MYR for dryer. Pool is clean and pool towels are supplied. There is a communal area to cook and iron clothes and a communal eating space should you wish to eat in however there are numerous warungs and restaurants on the left as you exit Nutshell and en route down to the main town (turn right at the second set of lights). The main town is about 2km walk or Nutshell hire scooters if you prefer. Great place, safe and nice staff.

They had a pantry for preparing food and all the facilities were there except a microwave, if they could add a microwave it would very convenient for the guests. They should clean the pantry area more often as there were ants roaming on the kitchen slab.

We liked the rooms, the smooth check in/check out, the close to nature environment and the swimming pool area.

Very enjoyable stay in a large very clean room, with comfortable bed and pillows. Also bonus to have shaded seating area outside chalet. Very useful having shared cooking facilities, particularly as we have been travelling for a while and a bonus to prepare own food. Was great to do the laundry and swim whilst waiting for the cycle to complete! Swimming pool clean and good depth. Location walkable distance to shops and beach. Staff friendly and professional.

The staff were so lovely and looked after us during our stay. The property is close to local warungs and a short walk to Cenang Beach. The pool is lovely and the property is a nice peaceful environment. Great value for money - would definitely recommend staying here!

Spacious rooms, very friendly staff and good location (5 minutes with scooter and 20 by foot to the beaches and malls). Good amenities, we liked the pool. You can also use a shared kitchen if you want to bring your own food.

Hotel run by a lovely family. Resort and rooms are very clean, wifi, kettle, fridge, and air-con worked well, water pressure good, chairs and table on the terrace, swimming pool a good size and pool towels provided, laundry on-site, and scooter rental. There is a kitchen room equipped with cooking/dining implements, fridge/freezer, ironing table, water dispenser and tea/sugar/creamer sachets. Nicely thought out details for a comfortable stay. It's a peaceful place in a quiet area, a mini-mart at the entrance, a coffee shop over the road, and a snack bar up from that, otherwise a 20+ minute walk into town. Very nice.

Excellent property. Very helpful host family. Had a flat tyre of bike in middle of jungle around midnight. Host not only attended my late night calls but also came to pick me up and my family. Will highly recommended to anyone booking.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Extended twice! Fabulous clean spacious rooms, clean and tidy bathrooms, towels provided, extremely comfortable beds, tv, excellent WiFi, cupboard to hang clothes. The setting is lovely and peaceful just off the road 5 mins by bike to the main area of Pentai Cenang, or 15 mins peaceful walk. Feels incredibly safe. Wonderful and kind hosts. Pool is an added bonus and is clean and inviting. Just wonderful would return in a heartbeat.
