None of the bungalows have a toilet or a shower. All amenities (toilets/bathroom) are common. It's a real camping accomodation. Considering the beautiful location, in the middle of the mangrove....the sea is far at low tide if you want to swim. But it compensates with excellent swimming pool

The location is exceptional, walking distance from the village and the "harbour", the staff (Enrico) is very helpful and super client oriented. Breakfast is excellent. The single formula for the dinner is perfect, efficient, as it is an island (every grocery is imported from Maputo) and a guarantee of freshness.

Tours are quite pricey, and bicycles were not available, so bring your own snorkel gear or books for entertainment. Breakfast is pricey, but even in town, the prices are high.

My accommodation was a simple traditional round hut, with a fan, and communal toilets and showers. Staff are friendly and helpful, always smiling, which made my stay enjoyable. I managed to get my 3 dinners without meat as well, thanks. Be warned that the public ferry doesn't run on Tuesday or Thursday, information that wasn't transmitted to me despite arranging a pickup from the ferry dock. Transport by speed boat was 3X the ferry price. Still, I really did enjoy the tranquility of the island and appreciated a dip in the small pool and the cushioned lounge chairs.

Breakfast is supposedly served starting at 7:30 but good luck getting anything other than self serve coffee before 9:30. Some vegetarian food options would be welcome. Food can take a looong time. Get the twin instead of double as mosquito net is small for double bed and doesn’t really work for 2 people. A few tweaks by management could perhaps bring a little more profit and lead to better service, but overall it’s a great place with a wonderful vibe.

Relaxed chill vibe, camp manager is always working with a smile and helping to arrange things. There is a slow effort to improve some things. Cost for items like soda etc is very reasonable and they regularly give a ride into the village which is super nice. Conscious management in terms of not wanting things to develop too fast or squeeze every penny out of guests. Be ready to operate on “Moz time”—don’t expect to leave for things at the agreed time—just relax and everything will work out great.

Bathroom facilities were beautiful but handles didn't work and a shower drain didn't drain. Also one canoe is filled with water and you cant drain it.

I loved the atmosphere. It was peaceful and safe environment. I loved the cabins just needed more lighting.

Manico Camp is a *racial / hatred* disaster catering essentially 4 da *boer*. Da *boere clientele* staying there has no manners, no education and is only about their own boeretrek and sakie sakie. They also help themselves in other people's fridges.

Maybe we came in a weird week but the camp looks almost abandoned. When something was needed no staff was around. The lack of management is noticeable and it looks chaotic. Really poor service in general, not really clean and tidy. The cabin was ok even though they door has not a lock or key and you don’t feel full secure. It was a disappointing experience and not worth money.

The place is nice, really natural and right on the beach. The guys working there are friendly.

They had a group of tourists at the lodge that partied till 2.30am with the manager played loud music and shouting. That was not good for us as no consideration was giben to us. Most definatly not go there again.

It was my wifes birthday and they put out rosses and a bottle of Champaign. Wanderful surprise for her.

Property needs refurbishment. Stay in a local hotel instead.

The property and accommodation broadly feels quite old and is need of refurbishment. The staff, whilst nice, didn't seem particularly interested in running the place. There were limited food options within the accommodation. Having said the above, the on site staff did assist with organising day trips and providing milk when asked for. The pool clearly had not been cleaned in some time. Moreover, whilst the government ferry isn't running there was the offer of a private boat. The private boat was offered in the currency of South African Rand, different to that of the Mozambique currency, which i should have realised and so the host was true and correct in the offer/the price of the boat. The host therefore did tell the truth and the error was on my part for not realising. None the less, one might reasonably expect the price of a service to be quoted in the country currency, not a different one. When taken in the round, I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend others to stay.

The manager wasn't prepared to receive guest. When he took us to see the accommodation, the car was wrecked, you couldn't even open the door from the inside, one of the windows didn't work and the driver seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and that was a red flag for us. The rooms didn't have lock which was disturbing and due to that we left the facilities immediately. I was still charged a 50% fee for the reservation which was upsetting, and to make it even worse, the manager didn't have the car working to take us to the beach, he was waiting for a piece to arrive at shore so he could fix it. I do not recommend whatsoever.

Manico Camp is an excellent place to relax and to stay in nature outside of the city hustle. It has everything needed – a greatly equipped kitchen, it is very safe and quiet. At night, you can make a bonfire and there is a bar on the property where you can buy water and drinks. All the common areas are spotlessly clean. I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. In the closest village, you can find a small shop and an outdoor fruit/vegetable market (open every day).
