Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe WiFi was the only issue, which I feel is a general issue with hotels in Nigeria as a whole. However, when I brought it to the attention of management they immediately acted by changing my room to another upscale one. Gave me complementary dinner, fruits and drinks. Which even made my stay better. Well done to the team at the Art hotel from their CEM:- Mr Joshua, Sam from the pool bar, Scott, Lilian, Favour, Mercy and a very pretty Duty manager always helpful at the reception.
I like the Art Hotel concept. The entrance lobby gives it a luxurious feel. The rooms are massive. The staffs are the best always willing to help even when you didn’t ask for it. My entire stay of 2 weeks was home away from home. And I loved every minute of my stay.

The hotel was lovely. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. The staff is so attentive and friendly. Everyone speaks and always asking if you need something. The food is so delicious. The rooms are spacious and the shower is huge. The rooftop is the hang-out spot every evening to have some food, drinks and shisha. It is nearby a lot of attractions

Kitchen - The meals great, the treatments from the staff super friendly. The staff were helpful and accommodating, there was maximum security at the hotel. Housekeeping - Sarah was amazing and she cleaned the room daily. I really had a very pleasant stay and the room was really neat and comfortable. Hotel receptionist - Favor, Mercy, Kenny, Wole, Shola, Yemi, Emmanuel - too many of the staff to remember were very nice. They attended to every service request.

United StatesThe breakfast menu was great. it was a great blend of nigerian food and american food, for amazing options. In addition, the staff was very friendly, kind, respectful, quick with orders, and attentive. Great location, rooftop is a big vibe, with pool and bluetooth speakers. Very interesting experience in the art gallery, meeting the actual artist of the decorated pieces, within the gallery. Beautiful events, as McCallan and other big brands showcase their products in this magnificent hotel, highly recommended. Recommended dishes, very exquisite sushi options, ordered on a couple of occasions during stay.

United KingdomThe wi-fi reception in my room was poor. The lighting control panels in my room were not responsive. Also there was no full length mirror in the rooms. All of these items where raised during my visit and the staff attempted to address all the points immediately, not always successfully, but their effort cannot be faulted. The manager informed me full length mirrors have been ordered and were due to be fitted soon.
The staff including manager were extremely welcoming and friendly and always available to my needs, without ever being intrusive or annoying. I cannot rate them highly enough. The meals served were to a very high standard, a mixture of local and foreign cuisine.

CanadaSo many things: there are no mirrors in the “basic” rooms!? Why? When I ask they say “but we have in the Prince suite” so people who pay (lots of money as well) less can’t have nice things? The bathroom always has issues! Either tap isn’t working well or flushing well or no hot water. Also no complimentary drinks in the fridge and you have to pay to get more water? For the price of a room? Also the tv is either faulty or the doors are dying off and breaking;I don’t know. This place has been poorly maintained and the only reason I keep coming back is Cos y’all got a smart tv so I can stay indoors and watch Netflix and I’m fine but even that was faulty in my room. Food prices are insane for the quantity and QUALITY! Mistakes were always made with our food orders to the room. Told the crew we just got married and nothing special or complementary was done for us. Let the price people pay for your rooms, reflect in the room, ambience and service.
Love the people here of course! Blessing, olushola, yemi, tunmise! All amazing humans and go above for customers! I’ve been here multiple times and they never fail to deliver great service, thank you.
