The location was amazing. The views were spectacular and it was easy to get to nearby kayaking and hiking spots. The food was fantastic, the hospitality was most gracious, and it would be hard to find a better place to take in a sunset.

Beds were a little on the firm side, but this is what is expected in the country.

Beautiful place with great views. The rancho area had plenty of space for eating, working, and family gatherings. Food can be ordered and purchased from the owner. Everything we ordered was fantastic! The owners were very accommodating of our two large dogs. His daughter gave the dogs a stuffed animal toy :)

good view. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious. There is also another restaurant near here. Come to here to enjoy the Kayak trip. I took two times. Highly recommend to stay in the Jungle. The environment is relaxing. You can see the sky full of stars and good sunset

Everything was perfect

This place is the best you can find in ometepe is really amazing in a very lush garden full of amazing plants and monkey and the rooms are very nice and clean and the food is very well , thank you Mikel to arrange everything for us

Maykell offered us his place to stay at the jungle and our favorite part of this place was feeling all inclusive. He had a restaurant steps away from our room that we could order food and drinks and treats to be ready for times that fit our schedule. He gave us recommendations that helped us plan our time on the island.

Maykell and family are great hosts and the food was consistently excellent. The property is clean and quiet with a nice view from the restaurant. It was cool to see a troop of howler monkeys come though the trees during breakfast.

Dinner service ends quite early which was not problem but something to be aware of.

We stayed in the upstairs room - the views were incredible, close to the waterfall, amazing garden/ wildlife and the food was sooo good!

The property was absolutely stunning. Best sunset view on the island by far. The owners were so kind and helpful and cooked great meals. They were a family and very welcoming. the jungle has so much wildlife around and the rooms are private which made it feel imerssive.

The shower was not powerful however it seems to be quite common in Nica.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was perfect! The loveliest hosts, Maykell and his family, and Joe, incredibly welcoming and helpful. Maykell was able to organise motorbike hire, tours, taxis, and anything else we needed. The restaurant food was delicious and so fresh, we ate there many times, and each meal was perfect. The property is stunning, well located, and right in the jungle. The views are superb and we watched monkeys play all morning from our porch. We were lucky enough to try both the quadruple and double rooms, (due to a free upgrade for a few nights) and both were exceptional. Clean, comfortable, and spacious with great outdoor space and views. The wifi worked well during our whole stay. And it was very affordable! Definitely book to stay here for your time on Ometepe!!

Nothing!

The location is amazing! Howler monkeys at your doorstep every morning! Tons of butterflies, flowers and birds. A nature lovers paradise. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Views were amazing. Great food in the restaurant! Charming family that runs the place!

My partner and I came here with our dog and loved everything about the place. The family that run the jungle are so welcoming and kind but also give you tons of privacy while you stay on the property. The gardens are stunning with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. The room was a great size with a comfy bed and huge shower. The outdoor seating area was so nice to sit and relax in the evenings with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The breakfast was some of the best food we’ve had in Nicaragua!

It was perfect for us, I wouldn't change a thing.

Hello, I was in Nicaragua for the first time, meeting up with my adult son. I was staying a coastal resort in Tola, Rivas Department. We decided to explore a bit, and choose to visit Ometepe Island in Lake Nicaragua. We wanted to stay one night, then wake up and hike the waterfall, and other areas. I was searching for a place to stay and The Jungle Lodge looked like a perfect fit (found on Booking.com). I had never used Booking.com and read some reviews, finding it to be a great choice. When we arrived at The Jungle Lodge we were greeted by Michael, the owner and operator. He answered our questions, told us about the food (restaurant ) and we made plans for our dinner. The gardens are beautiful, the views, the sounds of the jungle. Michael and his wife do everything and their children are wonderful too. We had a beautiful stay and great adventure!

Had an absolutely incredible stay! It is a family run business and everyone was super helpful and kind. Also, we had a few meals there and all the food was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

In the room on the ground floor you can hear the noises from above very loud. The location is close to the jungle, of course there were small bugs in the room but that didn’t bother us.

Nice family, great relaxing place with a nice view, nice breakfast. The host and the family did everything to make our stay nice, they organized tours, taxis and a scooter.

Nothing bad!

We were given a very warm welcome and were well looked after by Maykel and his family . He arranged a volcano guide and we ordered packed lunches which were perfect at the top of a long hike . It was really useful that we could rent Maykal’s scooter as we had taken a taxi from the port. With large backpacks renting motos at the port would not have been fesible for us. Having independent ( not taxi) transport is, I think important to have a relaxed tour of this beautiful island . The roads are quiet and generally very low speed so biking is easy and the main way people get around. We had a wonderful , large room and big bathroom with a shower. There was a terrace where we sat peacefully in the evenings watching and listening to monkeys and enjoying the sunset. The food is all cooked to ordered. We had excellent breakfasts and we ate in 2 out of 4 evenings. They ask that you order your meal in advance so it can be freshly prepared. We were really happy with the location. Close to a lake beach, but close using the moto to the best sandy beaches- Playa Mango and San Domingo. The WiFi was excellent . We were so pleased we chose The Jungle and highly recommend it.

You need to be comfortable with different animals, which is normal when staying on this island.

The view was great and the accommodation was really comfortable and clean! They offered great food! You could rent a scooter, which helps a lot traveling on the island.
