I've stayed at Monkey Bunky a lot now. The staff are friendly. The place is quiet and comfortable, and the other travellers are always pleasant. I loved the long walk to Thamel along Swoyambhu Marg. Dipak and Pawan will bend over backwards to help you

Lovely staff. Free water. Good WiFi. Dorm was pretty messy when I arrived! 4 Chinese ladies who treated it like home, clothes hanging up and stuff thrown on the floor. But the cleaners rectified it and the dorm was cleaned every day.

I was told to beware the monkeys, but to be honest, they were a pleasure to be around.

The whole vibe was on point. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was good value and tasty and the travellers were also polite, friendly and fun.

Brekkie was very good 2 toast omelette/jam tea or coffee. Hot and cold drinking water for free. Wifi was very good. Hot water for shower's. Very friendly lads working there and Pawan was a great help with information about the city and where to go. Also he gave us great information about everest base camp trek and a lend of trekking poles.

Location is just perfect, close to monasteries and the monkey temple, it's 15 min walking to thamel so luckily not in the middle of the touristic chaos, the staff was amazing, hope to see you again soon!

Very nice staff. Very good price, the cheapest I could find in Kathmandu. And very decent rooms and facilities for this price. Also very good location: one big temple is right next door, Swayambhu Buddha park is 5 min walk away. Also close to Tergar Oselling Monastery and easy to get buses to airport, Chobhar and Guru Padmasambhava caves.

Everything, as always! Especially this time I would like to thank the boys again for doing 2 machines full of trekking laundry even though we did arrive quite late, just so that we could leave with clean clothes the next day. Dhanyabad!

The only thing is that it can be far away from Thamel if you are looking for a party or being in a crowded place ! Like 45 minutes walking to the Thamel !

It's a good place for backpackers, it's clean, breakfast is small but okay ! For 3 dollars it's a good place ! The owner is a very nice person ! Social areas are nice ! It's very easy to meet up with travelers there. Also monkey Temple is just 10 minutes walking

I’ve stayed at this time 4 times during my time in Kathmandu! Awesome location off the ring road (easily get a bus from the airport.. they pretty much all go around the ring road). I met a lot of great people here too. Breakfast is good and the owners are so nice!!

Cozy hostel a little bit outside of the hustle of town and the Thamel area. More peaceful, a good place to relax and meet like-minded people who also enjoy that. The owner Pawan is very friendly, answered a lot of questions and also stored some things for me while I was hiking. Will happily come again when I'm in Kathmandu next time.

The people managing the place are very nice, funny and helpful. If you have any question, they'll do their best to answer it and find a solution. They have adresses and contacts for some activities like trekking with a nice price. Nice food also.
