A beautiful historic place with so much to see and explore. My room was gorgeous and every detail around the heritage site is perfect (even with continuing development taking place). The staff are really lovely too - friendly, helpful, respectful, and can't do enough for their guests.

The most fantastic part of this property is the wonderful staff!! They are so helpful and attentive and pleasant. We were given a wonderful tour of the hotel when we came in and it really is a charming property. We had a lovely stay at this hotel and they went out of their way to help us when my daughter fell and hurt herself. Food-their kitchen serves delicious food! They have a variety of dining options on site (as some are not managed by the hotel directly) Airport pick up and drop-well managed. Rooms-are well appointed and comfortable Sightseeing-please ask for Mr Deepchandra! He is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable of the history of Kathmandu.

There is repair work going on in the property, so not good if you plan to stay around the hotel during the day.

My breakfast --- out of the bag -- was quite simple ( I had to leave before the Restaurant opened ).

This is a very well operated hotel in a central location in Kathmandu. It is a pleasure to stay there.

Beautiful rooms, interior decoration and surroundings. A soothing oasis in the chaos of Kathmandu. Lovely staff. Multiple good restaurants in enclave. Too much good to summarise here.

the area is inside a compound so u gf to look out abit when travelling at night as area around the hotel is dark

The location is a bit far from Thamel, a 35-40 minute walk so you need to take a cab when going back and forth.

The great service and the history of the Hotel more than make up for the unusual accommodation price in Nepal. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the rooms to the terrace and the corridors. Would definitely recommend to others.

the location is a bit far from the center / Thamel (about 2 km, 20 minutes walk on main streets and not touristy at all, or a 7 minutes taxi drive will cost you about 500 NRS) the hotel was going through renovations when I stayed in September 22, and it was a bit noisy and some parts were under construction. Nonetheless, it was quiet in the evening times, and the staff made sure guests were enjoying their stay despite the little lift up ;) I am more than curious to see how this turns up!

absolutely everything, from the moment of arrival, was amazing! the staff is so very kind and helpful - any wish which you would have - they will make it happen! The hotel itself is a beautiful architectural gem - each room, hall, and courtyard is full of history, design and amazing atmosphere. There are various restaurants that all serve fine dishes (avg European prices) and amazing service. It is a home away from home, and absolutely worth it. I stayed after trekking Everest Base Camp and could not ask for a better place to stay and relax!
