Perfect spot walking distance to the Thamel area but tucked away so it’s more quiet. Breakfast in the garden to start off your day with coffee or tea and eggs. Most of all it was the way my friend and I were treated by the staff: always nice, helpful, went out of their way to support my friend that got sick.

Excellent place if you intend to go trekking. Almost every guest is either going to go trekking or has come back from a trek. One gets lots of information when talking to other guests at breakfast. Luggage can be stored safely for the period of the trek. Staff is very helpful.

The street dogs barking at night was annoying.

The hotel was well presented with a great garden for breakfast or for leisure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was big and comfortable and the room clean. The balcony was a nice bonus. This was a great value stay.

WiFi signal didn't quite reach the room. Didn't seem like a problem in the garden or main building. Speeds were 2 - 7 Mbps.

Great place a 5-10 minute walk from Thamel. Hot shower, delicious breakfast (juice, tea/coffee, eggs, fruit, toast), chill garden and rooftop area, big size rooms, fan to keep cool. The owners helped with bus tickets and even walked us to the right bus in the morning (with an early breakfast too). Grab table to take / leave free items is a nice feature.

I had a warm welcome by the owner of the hotel after a long flight. The room was big, clean with a queen bed and a good mattress. The location of the hotel is perfect (4min walk from center of Thamel). I highly recommend staying at Elbrus Home if you travel to Kathmandu.

Khem and his staff are all incredibly helpful, in a perfect location near the heart of the city. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Kathmandu!

No faults at all, everything was great!

As the name suggests, this place is really a home away from home. Khem and the team running Elbrus home made me feel so welcome from the moment i arrived. Assisting me in any way they can. Lovely hot shower, clean room with beautiful views. The garden area has comfortable seating, lots of wildlife and a friendly chicken roaming freely there for the past 8 years! Filtered water is provided for free and there are lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is simple and wholesome, given in a timely manner and can accommodate vegan and vegetarian diets. Great location, away from the main busy street but close enough to walk to many shops and cafes in the centre. Could not recommend this place more for your stay in Nepal. Thankyou to the team at Elbrus Home, i hope to see you again soon.

Our room had nice view and was big and bright. They also have a nice rooftop which is perfekt if you need some quite time, want to do a some yoga or meditation. The breakfast was nice as well, with fresh egg , canned mango juice, toast and coffee. Khem is a nice host and made sure we are having a great time . Thank you again.:)

Elbrus was our home for almost 2 month every time we were in kathmandu we stayed there, we left our bags save in their storage room a few times, khim and all the staffs are so nice and helpful, breakfast is great and very good location, i recomend it to everyone visiting katmandu
