Usually in hostels the staff is very open, chatty, here I felt they were a bit more down to business. Nothing negative, just an observation.

Very cool hostel right next to Thamel. Lovely rooftop with the view. Comfy beds and air con heating (we were in Jan and it gets colder at nights).

Shower took quite a while to warm up but it got there in the end, bathroom smelled a little bit was clean, the guy at the front desk was a bit grumpy, power sockets in our room stopped working on our last night, toilet didn’t flush when we arrived but someone fixed it straight away!

Great hostel! We absolutely loved our time here, we met some amazing people, the room was very clean and comfortable, location is amazing (in Thamel but quiet), the food was tasty and the common areas are so nice - the view from the rooftop is incredible! We would definitely come back!

All good; friendly staff, comfortable bed with privacy curtain, lockers, fast WiFi and plenty of individual separate shower/toilet rooms. I checked out so fast that I left a jacket and they got it back to me.

I stayed in the girls dorm downstairs, so noise from the bar until all hours of the night meant it was often loud in our room...also hear the staff arriving and talking loudly early in the morning and smells and smoke from the kitchen sometimes. Some of the guests in the dorm were really rude, leaving their bed lights on all night until 3am or even 7am in the morning, so the light was always shining into my bed when I want to sleep. There should be a sign or instructions for these people that says quiet time between 10am and 7am and turn your light off if you are not in the room, for example. It should be common sense, but some people don't seem to care about others at all unfortunately.

A friendly sociable hostel, great for meeting new people and making new friends. Wonderful kind and friendly staff. The most comfortable bed I have ever had in any dorm anywhere in the world. Amazing hot showers. The restaurant there also has some tastey food options, if somewhat more expensive than other places around the city.

Only thing we could mention is it would be nice if there were some hangers to hang clothes.

their price is double the average in Kathmandu so I was expecting more. the 8-bed room is cramped with too many beds and gets too hot, stuffy and no space to breathe. Also no locker for me… for 1 dollar more I found a private suite in a hotel in Thamel and it was much better than staying here

Bunker beds should have small compartments to keep phone, lenses, etc. No door mats anywhere.

Really awesome vibe. Great ambience and interior. You'll meet many travellers around the world. It's located at a perfect spot near Thamel. Staff is friendly, Dipendra and Aayush made us feel at home.

I stayed in the female dorm. While it had a good size, the room was quite dark and did not have a window facing outside. When I arrived the staff was still cleaning and I had to walk across a pile of old bed linen to get into my room. You have to pay 100 extra for towels.

The location was wonderful, close to Thamel and some great restaurants. The room and facilities were clean. Beds are pretty comfortable and spacious. The curtains give you some extra privacy. While I shared the dorm with 9 more people, they were all very respectful, so I was able to get a good rest.

The staff at Flock hostel were super helpful during our stay and all of the restaurant and bar staff provided excellent service. The hostel has great amenities, is cosy and tidy and in a great location.
