Room was cosy with a nice hot shower in spring. The staff were warm and hospitable - met Dip, Aryaan and Bishal who were so friendly and helpful. Was my second time staying at this hotel. Excellent location in the heart of Thamel. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay was very pleasant. However, it can get a little loud during the nighttime with the other people at the hotel but that shouldn't be much of a problem because it happened only once or twice during our stay of 9 days.

Room was simple and clean. All the necessary amenities were placed there upon our arrival like soap bars, toilet paper, bottled water, etc. We had the chance to bump into the owner of the hotel and he was very nice and accommodating. The guys at the hotel reception and rooftop were very kind, respectful and efficient. The rooftop is attached with a kitchen and is has a very lively ambience.

Although we faced little bit trouble,but overall it’s pretty good

Everything was pretty good , you won’t be able to find any hotel like this one ! It’s cheaper but the stuff and the room service was pretty decent.. whatever problem you are having just call the manager everything will be fixed within few min,, besides they are also warm hearted, They can also provide tour if you are new to Nepal plus you want to visit places with cheap cost you can always have them , they provide the service. I highly recommend this hotel if you are searching for a place to stay with low cost you must book hotel khangshar home

The hot water is running only during the day, from early morning to sunset. I usually take a shower before going to sleep and i couldn't.

The host Aryan was very helpful and kind. He made sure our requests were honoured as quickly as possible. The location of the place is very convenient for travelling to any part of the city. The places has a nice vibe.

If you stay here just be patient with the hot water. Just let the water run and it will eventually be a comfortable temperature.

Khangsar Home was perfectly positioned for us to explore Thamel and beyond. Our host was very happy to help whenever he could and organised a 5 day hiking trip and really friendly and knowledgeable guide for us too. We were also able to borrow items for our treck including walking poles and gloves. While we were hiking the host also stored our belongings for us securely without the need to keep our room, but also guaranteed us a room on our return. We also had some items to post back to the UK and the staff were happy and able to help us with that too. We also made use of the rooftop cafe which provided breakfast at very reasonable cost and also drinks throughout the day. This was our first trip to Nepal so didn't know quite what to expect but our host made sure he did everything possible to make our first experience thoroughly enjoyable.

the owner was kinda crossing some boundaries at the beginning, but after confronted about it was really accommodating and helpful, but for a solo female traveler it was a bit uncomfortable.

the location was great, and very good for planning the trek - quick laundry, tips and recommendations from a nearby agency. it’s generally quite ok - clean enough, warm shower, comfy bed. a good pre-trek spot.

The trek package selling can be a bit intimidating at first when you want some downtime...

Very friendly hotel staff. If you don't like being sold trekking packages or guides, probably be clear from the start! Deep was lovely but was very persistent. That being said, our Poon Hill trek was great and a good price.

Nothing - rooms could get a bit stuffy but was just due to condensation from hot shower

Good value for money. Best night sleeps we have had whilst staying here. Hot water available 24/7 and good Wi-Fi. Staff were amazing and let us print our visas for next destination.
