Location is a big plus. Hotel is situated in Thamel, conveniently near stores and restaurants, but on a back street away from traffic and street noise. The manager, Gangu, was very welcoming and helpful, as were the staff. Room was comfortable and quiet. Very good value. Highly recommend.

We liked everything about the hotel.

This place is exactly where you want to stay in Kathmandu if you are looking for value, cleanliness, location and helpfulness from staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast has a nice selection to start your day. The Manager Ganga Hari Dahal is attentive and very helpful, arranging transportation, breakfast packets for an early departure and answering any questions you have about the area and where to find things. This is the place to stay in Kathmandu if you want value for your money, at a high standard.

The manager at reception is really good, he waited for me and my friend till late night as our filthy delayed for nearly 3 hours. All the staff at reception are all really good so you can surely feel their hospitality.

Very nice hotel and even greater hosts. One of them accompanied us to exchange money and buy a simcard. Clean and big rooms. We woke up early in the morning and the gave us some breakfast bag.

My husband and I really appreciate the warmth and helpful staff of Magnificent. They were always attentive and took really good care of us. Mr. Ganga the manager was very accommodating and helped us with our requests like a gentleman. Overall a great experience. Good clean spacious rooms. Thank you Magnificent Hotel.

Perfect! Staff was so friendly and made sure everything was to our needs. We had a great time! Breakfast was different everyday, and everyday a good mix between continental and Nepali breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic ... Ganga and the team are wonderful, helpful and so friendly. They definitely should be way more than a 2 star. Above and beyond epitomises these wonderful people and beyond the hotel staff the people they are associated with for drivers and tour guides are just as wonderful. Highly recommend both The Magnificent Hotel and Kathmandu. Easy walks to shops and restaurants ... can't wait to return

I didn’t love the breakfast, but it was good to have something in my stomach before exploring.

The room was clean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. There was a really good convenience store just down the road, and I could get to many cool places within just a few minutes walk.

Grey location, walkable to all of thamel but tucked away in a really quiet street. Facilities were clean, the bed and room were amazing and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back! Also breakfast was sooo good!

From cost/benefit perspective, it was absolutely Magnificent stay

Everything was nice. Authentic Nepali boutique hotel, quite cozy and nice to stay. Location is also quite good, by taxi, almost all temples and main sightseeings are roughly the same distance

The hotel is very comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean. The beds are comfy and the heating is excellent. The manager is always available and watching that everything goes smooth. The receptionist is also very nice .we had a great stay . I highly recommend it I must add we were given complimentary transport to the airport!!
