TV not working in our room... or we were too dumb to figure out how to use it!? Wifi not working in our room... but if you are going to Nepal and Pokhara to sit in your room on the wifi and watch TV and then complain about it, you have bigger issues in your life! It didn't matter to us as we used the foyer wifi when we needed it and didn't want to watch the TV anyway Its an excellent hotel with great staff, rooms and food

Really nice and helpful staff. Huge clean room and great facilities for the price. Great breakfast and great location in lakeside Pokhara. - only stayed one night as we were going on a trek the next day but I would definitely stay again

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Portland. The staff were amazing, very professional, and helpful. The location is perfect if you are visiting the lake side. The breakfast included was delicious and the food was different every day. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Pokhara.

The shower in the room had a slight tendency to flood a smidgen, however nothing that couldn’t be dealt with with a strategically placed towel.

The hotel it’s self was rather nice with excellent location to lake side. What really set this hotel was the staff, particularly young Miss Rashmita! I won’t go into detail but this remarkable young woman, apart from being an excellent representative for front of house, helped with some complicated bus transfers (even gave up part of her free day to help), got me getting reunited with a present I accidentally left at the hotel and in general showed the most amazing hospitality. Basically, I don’t know what the management at Portland hotel pay her but whatever it is it’s not nearly enough!!

Very hard to fault something about the hotel, to be honest. If i had to nitpick I would say they don't have a coffee/tea station at the breakfast table, and the instant coffee they served upon request was quite bad.

Lovely property in a fantastic location, Hotel Portland generally ticks all the important boxes. The service is efficient and the staff friendly, the rooms are nicely furnished and clean, there is ample hot water, and the view of the Phewa lake and the Annapurna range from the balcony and roof are stunning. Without being particularly spectacular in any department, this is the kind of hotel everyone expects while on a vacation.

The housekeeping could be better. Corners need attention.

Loved the large room we got on the top floor with a balcony with view of the lake. The staff were so friendly and helpful with all of our questions and looked after us so well.

Very nicely located hotel, close to a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. The lake can also be reached in 5 minutes. You can reach everything on foot. The staff is very friendly and helpful, happy to assist with booking plane tickets or nearby excursions. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice of local food, changed daily. Toast, eggs, jam and omelette are of course also available 😉 The rooms are clean and are cleaned daily on request. If we ever come back to Pokhara, we would book this hotel again.

A hotel with a good view in the Pokhara city. Very close to the lake. Clean room with good Wi-fi connection. We stayed there one night and left very early without having breakfast, so I can’t say anything about breakfast, but for other things I give ten points when considering the standards.

Basically no faults. Only nitpick would be the shower curtain could do with being replaced.

The room service needs to be a bit more standard. We had to request the staff to replace the bedcovers and robes. Also, this property did not provide any dental kits which is a standard practice in all good hotels.

The property is very well located. The room I was in had a Mountain View balcony which I liked a lot. Phewa Lake is within 5 minutes walking distance. Staff at the reception was very friendly and cordial. Food tasted great as it had authentic Nepalese taste with nice aroma of spices.
