I'm traveling alone and I had a personal and comfortable time at the accommodation. Here is close to Durbar Square and Tamel took about 10-15 minutes on foot. It was easy to catch a taxi and I liked it because it wasn't too loud in the evening. The host kindly kept taking care of me to see if I needed anything. I'd like to use it on my next trip.

It can get very noisy since it is in the very heart of Kathmandu, but what to do, that’s how Kathmandu is :)

It is very close to the Durbar square. The apartment is very pretty and nicely furnished. The host is super polite, helpful and quick to respond. The value is great for the price. All in all, would recomend.

It is a very clean and cozy apartment with all necessary amenities. The owner is the nicest and most considerate person possible. He cares about each detail of your stay. And last but not least, the location is amazing, it is just a dozen steps away from the historical center and heart of Kathmandu.

Nothing not to like for me

My kind of place exactly and my kind of location. Almost in Kathmandu Durbar Square (convert your day ticket to a visitor pass if you are here for a few days) in a vibrant local area. Lots of tea shops and Nepali food near by as well as Jocchen (Freak Street) a short walk away. The genial host, Mr Surdarshan, is incredibly helpful and very responsive whatever your need. I've used this place as a base in Kathmandu as part of a long trip and am very glad to have found it. The building is very secure and clean. Bed is large and comfy. Kitchenette and fridge very useful for my travelling style. Great to have a washing machine on premise when coming back from a trek. Super stay

Location of the property is premium. It's right next to Darbar Square. It's walking distance from Thamel. Our studio was small but it has everything one would expect. All the facilities are modern. We did not expect such place on such budget friendly price. We extended our stay for one day, could have stayed longer but place was booked for further dates. Very helpful staff, we interacted with Mr. Sudarshan during our whole stay. He is very polite, patient and understanding. He was eager to help. He guided taxy driver to reach the place. We called him anytime we needed help. Communicating with him was super easy. He genuinely made our experience amazing!

    Ol ok!

Great owners! met, seen off, everything on time! The apartments are 2 steps (literally) from Durbar Square! Everything is clean, there is a kitchen, there are good dishes in the kitchen, if you don’t like to cook in the same building on the first floor of a cafe with Momo, from the end of the building there is an entrance to the cafe on the roof with a beautiful view (but I never ate there, only coffee saw). I recommend! Everything is very convenient!

It is quite far away from any of the larger supermarkets. My initial score would have been a 9 but since the owner wrote me on WhatsApp again I am decreasing the score to an 8. If you want people to review it is fine, but don't continue to write to them in WhatsApp 2 weeks after they checked out.

Close to durbar square, bed were comfortable, internet speed was fast running at 250-300/mbit.

walls were too thin that anyone can hear everything from the other studio or someone at the ground floor. The microwave was located on the third floor inside the laundry room. Also, you don’t have total privacy as owner go in and out of the building to turn on/off lights of un-occupied room and do laundriy every day.

very close heritage site and shops

While the central location is convenient and the neighbourhood lively, it was very noisy. A small, yet busy street with ongoing traffic one one side and a courtyard where people meet and drink on the other. I was there at the week-end so the noise went on late at night. It may be quieter during the week, I don't know. It would be perfect with double windows. Don't let the above stop you if you don't mind going to bed late and waking up early. Apart from that, it's nice and cosy.

This is a lovely little studio, in the heart of one of the most popular areas of Kathmandu. Sudarshan, the owner, is a kind and thoughtful man. Communication was friendly and effective from the moment I booked. He guided my taxi when I arrived and was waiting for me at the property, so checking in was easy and hassle-free. He showed me around, asked me if I needed anything, made me feel comfortable... He also talked to my driver the day after, when I got lost looking for one of the temples. The place itself is great. It has everything you need to cook your own meals and make yourself at home (large wardrobe, etc.). It's clean and the bed is super comfy. The listed building is beautiful: ancient, but all renovated inside. Location's very central. Plenty of shops and restaurants around, juice bars, cafes, ATMs... and the famous Durbar Square is literally at your doorstep. The neighbourhood's buzzing with life and feels safe. In the evening, you can buy local artefacts at the outdoor market nearby.

I like privacy but i miss a common space outside the room. I work remotely, the room is tho super well, but no facility to work-sit properly. The showerroom + toilet is super tiny, difficult to move. The room is right on the street side. There is no transition space from the room to literally the street (with no sidewalk).

Location is great, close to the one of best heritage site and easy to get to know locals. Also great time to be in the cultural center. Sudharsan is amazing. He was proactive like a week before my arrival, and shared important information. Great help.
