How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I stayed a lt the billabong garden in for two nights. The rooms were nice, and the location in lakeside is amazing. The two hired staff workers are friendly, though I was glad to meet the owner on my second night where he kindly helped me arrange my buss fair for the next morning. I would highly recommend.

The bathroom was clean but the toilet did not have a functional flush system. I think this was a fluke for my room only however.
The host family is very welcoming and hospitable. They were at the reception desk to check me in even though it was a national holiday in Nepal and everything was closed. They even included me in their festival rituals.

Great hotel conveniently located right next to the lakeside district where all of the restaurants and bars are located. Comfortable clean beds with a powerful shower and clean toilet. Great hospitality and brilliant value altogether. Would recommend. Air con very good also

None that I can think of
We stayed here for three nights. At just about 13 dollars per night, we got such a comfortable deluxe double room with AC, balcony, a bath tub and a very fast WiFi. They got different WiFi for each floor We tried their breakfast and although it is fixed (omelette, toast, jam, butter and a choice of tea or coffee), we still found it delicious The location is amazing too. Easily walkable to all the cafés, restaurants, pubs and, of course, the lake. Most importantly, the staff and the owner family so great. They are very proactive in arranging everything for you at a reasonable price. Booked our bungee jump and swing adventure through them Highly recommended

This hotel was an amazing experience. The family that runs the property is really nice. They have air conditioning, and clean nice bathrooms. They are very caring people and will go out of their way for you help you in anyway you need. It’s very peaceful and quiet here, the WiFi works great and the price is really fair. They have a nice balcony in the rooms we stayed in, as well as a family balcony on the top floor. I definitely recommend staying here if you come to Pokhara

I was greeted with warm smiles and a seamless check in process.The front desk owner of the hotel was friendly and efficient,ensuring that I felt welcomed and comfortable from the very beginning.The room was spacious and clean.They provided us different facilities like Pokhara sightseeing and made my bus ticket to travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu.I feel very happy and satisfied,I will definitely returning for another visit.

From the moment I arrived,the level of hospitality provided by the hotel owner and his son was truly outstanding.They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect,making feel welcomed and values as a guest. The hotel atmosphere is warm and inviting,reflecting the personal touch and care the owners have put into every detail.The room is impeccably clean,well furnished and equipped with all modern amenities one could need.The attention to detail in the room decor and the comfort of the beds made for a very relaxing stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the complementary breakfast.It was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to suit every plate.Thank you so much to the genuine hospitality of the owner and his son,the comfortable accommodation and the complementary breakfast.I will definitely be returning to this hotel on my next visit.I highly recommend it to others
