There’s a confusion: no private rooms are available, and the option on Booking in reality is the same bed in dorm just king-size and not bunk bed, the rest is same same: no door, no privacy. Bathroom needs renovation: only one boiler is working, so amongst 3 shower cabins only one has hot water, the floor in the shower is dirty, walls are moldy, you can’t basically close the door in the shower cabin while the dorm is mixed for men and women.

the location is great: it’s on the centre of Thames though it’s quiet, the mattress was very comfortable, clean and pretty new bed linen, spacious beds, nice and cooperative personnel.

The location, the privacy that the ten bed dormitory had, the 8 bed dormitory was very cold because of the windows that permit that the air could enter easily. They have a kitchen where they let me use it to boil eggs. I could pay with a credit card but in Nepal there is always a 3.5 percent commission.

the single room is inside the dormitory with no door (only a curtain), so anybody can enter and you hear all the noise from the dormitory. I would not call this a private room. hot water not always available

The individual rooms have no doors, only curtains, which kinda defeats the purpose. Especially if you have loud neighbours. Additionally, there were no mosquito nets or any way of protection against these pests! There were signs to not leave the doors open to the bathrooms cause evidently most mosquitos got in from there. Unfortunately, the other guests didn't bother to close the door, so we got stung... a lot! And by a lot, I mean 20 bites or more!

The hostel is situated in the middle of Thamel so you can reach everything you need at first easily! The people and the whole vibe is really cool. It was one of the cheapest options and still a good choice.

It was very hard to locate. And nothing against the facilities but there were some guests who were very loud and they were even eating in the room which should not be allowed due to the bugs.

The staff was very nice and helpful, providing all the must-know of Kathmandu and the tours.
