It’s very very dirty. I booked a private room and it had no door! Just a curtain! The bathrooms were horrendous with overflowing dirty water. The kitchen was a mess and had not been cleaned in a while. I told staff and they said the cleaner was on holiday.

The toilet and bathrooms where a little gross, and DIY ish looking, I know things are like that in Nepal But sometimes you get tired of it, just get a plumber and a carpenter that knows theire stuff

Noise. Many locals stay here and it seems that they are unaware of silent mode or vibrate. I was constantly awaken early am by phonecalls (even in speaker), alarms, music, scrolling, conversations. Wouldn't go back

I loved the fact it’s very clean and is a spacious place with comfortable large bed (even though it’s single). Friendly staff- always helped me whenever I needed something and booked me cabs and activities. the breakfast is really nice as well!

At the heart of Thamel but at the same time very quiet at night. Walking distance from everything. Super comfy bed and hot showers at all time. The hotel staff helped me out a lot with booking a bus and planning my next trekking adventure near Pokhara.

I booked a double bed and was given a bed in a 10 bed dorm room. When asked why I have been given a bed in a dorm they said I have booked a two person room and only checked in one person and they didn’t think I should get the double bed. I explained that it was a an option on the booking.com and I payed for the double bed room, they apologized and changed my room. washroom was not clean and there were no soap available and the sink had some green herb looking things in it and it was dirty. room didn’t have a door so I would hear a lot of noise coming from the hallway and the bathroom as it was right next to the bathroom. It was around 6am in the morning, when I woke up to the sound of phone call and heard the person in the next room started talking to someone of the phone. I could hear everything as the rooms are not soundproof. later on I realized that it was the owner who was on the phone. When asked why wouldn’t he go outside to speak on the phone, his answer was these room are half private and that it is ok to speak on the phone despite it is early in the morning. I let him know that it is a common courtesy not to speak on the phone this early as others are trying to get some sleep. He apologized.

Not a big deal, but the squeaky door at the last floor should be fixed. It disturbs during sleep time.

It was our first time in Nepal/Kathmandu. We arrived at Trekkers Hostel and the staff there was very friendly and welcoming us. You immediately build a good relationship with the owners and they are very helpful. They also organise trekking tours at very good prices and take care of all the organisation - highly recommended!
