There wasn't much ventilation in the rooms aside from having the windows open, which we didn't want to do in case of mosquitos. The rooms are dated and you can hear a reasonable amount of noise, although the venue itself was quiet and no late night issues. The BBQ area is the only place you can cook food, we used this a few times and cleaned the equipment, but it seems other customers did not do cleaning. The venue are very clear you're not even to make noodles in the microwave within the room, which seems a bit strict considering lack of indoor cooking availability.

Check in was easy enough and there was parking. The location was good, near the bars & restaurants and close to the beach. The resident kitties were gorgeous & friendly.

The tap in the bathroom was hard to turn on and had strange water pressure . There was no kitchen sink so that made it a bit awkward

There are 2 amazing friendly cats. Any place with cats is a good place for me. Had spades for hot water beach.

Parking was spoiled one night by the inconsiderate driver of a van, too long for standard parking so at an angle taking up three spaces (see attached photo)

Hosts were very friendly; rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location, close walk to the beach, we walked to dinner, breakfast and shops with lots of options. Easy off-street parking in front of rooms.

This motel is located just steps from the beach, and a couple of blocks from the passenger ferry, as well as shops, cafes and restaurants. We used it as a base to explore the Coromandel Peninsula, and it was perfect. The room was simple, but had everything we needed, including a fridge, microwave and some dishes for simple breakfasts. There's a BBQ and drying lines for bathing suits outside too, and free parking for all rooms. We visited in the summer, and the fans in the room kept us cool at night. The area is very quiet, no concerns about loud guests either.

This was a delightful stay near the beach in Whitianga. The room was clean and had sweet little touches, like a dark facecloth for makeup and USB charging ports in the plug in. The bedding was super comfortable and we appreciated the dish service.

Great location, easy walk to the shops and the beach. I left an item behind, the friendly staff were more than happy to locate it and post it home very soon after our stay.

Large bed in small room not much room to move around the bed but this was only a small issue and does not effect the overall stay too much.

Room was very clean and tidy. I like there were plenty of fans provided. Staff very friendly and took pride in the accommodation. Close to the beach and town center.

Maybe it was the season - just after the new year. It was expensive compared to other places . It would have been great if a simple breakfast was served.

The location was great! Could walk to town and the Marina. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room had a toaster and microwave and had an outdoor kitchen. Very cosy and super comfortable beds. Friendly owners. Good Parking
