There were no “snacks” with the tea and coffee which the info said there would be. We asked the person looking after the property, but he was very vague about this. Would prefer to have a jug of fresh milk rather than mini UHT milks . Seemed to be several “ rules”. Less of these would have helped us feel a little more relaxed.

The host was super friendly, we lost our adapter on the way to Alice Garden, and the host borrow us one of his spare unit. Quick response and the room is clean and spaces.

I didn’t like having to wash the dishes in the basin in the bathroom especially as there was very limited room to put anything.

Clean but sparse facilities. Somewhat confusing check in arrangements with jamming lock box. Situated away from town centre and close to State Highway 8. The garden could be fantastic but needs attention.

The kitchenette is not well appointed. It's not a big deal that you can't cook but it would have been really nice to have a serving spoon, cutting board and a sharp knife for bread. All they had were two of each, fork, butter knife, bowl, plate.

The garden is sweet and nice for star gazing at night.

The mosquitoes are horrendous at night. We had to kill a hundred mosquitoes which entered our room when we returned in the evening. The host does warn about this but you can’t understand the extent.

The room was new and modern, great interior and bathroom. Location was also great with lake views. Very quiet location.

I'd prefer not to have to wash the dishes in the bathroom. I found some of the instructions a little confusing, but everything worked out fine!

The views were spectacular. The unit was warm and comfortable and the hosts were warm and friendly. The shower was the best I've ever experienced!

We booked this property for an overnight stay in Lake Tekapo. There are three units at the back of the main house, but you don't notice this too much, immaculately clean and comfortable. You can walk into town (during the day only) or it's a 2 minute drive. Nice views of the lake and an easy check in and check out. Owners were very nice.

The plastic shoes left to put on as you entered the room. Sizes were all wrong & ? Hygiene . Would have been better having disposable shoe covers. Door not locked leading into main property.

Location was excellent. Views from room stunning. Very clean and good amenities. Good instructions from the owner before arriving at the property. Lovely place to stay in Lake Tekapo.
