The shower seals on the door had fallen off while I was showering so when I had finished the water had gone through to the outside onto the floor. When I checked you can see the seals have nothing to hold it to the door so when you put them on they just fall straight off again

Everything was great

Very clean comfortable unit perfect for an overnight stay on route north. Lovely private outdoor space too. We had a downstairs unit which was perfect for easy access and covered parking when we arrived in heavy rain.

Fridge was left iced up and would not close properly. Our milk went off as we did not realise this until day 2. Shower leaks due to the seal not covering the bottom of the door properly.

My single bed was strangely on a slope. I'm a side-sleeper. One side felt uphill. The other side felt downhill and I used a spare pillow to chock myself up to a more level position. The next night I switched to the other single bed in the room. It was better but I had the same issue. I wonder if they are two singles that can be joined to make a queen bed and that somehow this undermined the bed structure. My toilet only flushed occasionally. It took several to many attempts each time. By the end of my stay I realised it would flush eventually but getting to that realisation was a bit worrisome!

I loved my own private courtyard garden. The suite looked contemporary and inviting. The fittings are of very good quality. It doesn't look cheap or dated and I was proud to invite a friend over. I am moderately fit. It was an easy 20-minute stroll to town in each direction, and to the lake-front.

Nothing really... not a luxury option but it's Ok.

The apartment was large with 2 separate rooms, nice shower. Nothing luxurious but all perfectly functional. 20 minutes walking from the town center.

The room had everything you could want. It was clean and spacious. The location was excellent - only round the corner from the town. We were given milk on arrival to have with our tea.

Réception was closed when I arrived just before noon. The cleaning team was around but they were most unhelpful. This motel is several blocks from the city center and I had to rely on myself to store my luggage. I found my room quite dark and furnished like a dentist’s waiting room. I realize a lot of NZ motels are like that but I find it depressing.

Close to a beach and opposite a convenience store and a Chinese takeaway. The room had all the basic stuff and a tiny balcony giving onto some greenery. The bathroom had no window but was cleverly separated from the bedroom by folding doors.

Clean, quiet, lovely old extras eg a small bottle of milk not little punnets. Plenty of towels. Right across from cafe, four square and other shops.

View wasn't quite as expected, as I'd upgraded to lake view, but it's a long way in the distance over many rooftops.
