Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandFar too expensive for a budget hotel. The Wi-Fi was super slow. I had to stand for 10 minutes and watch the compendium on the TV with all the virtue-signalling ads, menus, and bus timetables to get the Wi-Fi password, which was annoying. The TV is not a smart TV so only free-to-air channels.
Location, free parking, many takeaways and a supermarket within walking distance. Individual aircon control that actually works.

The location was good. Even though the hotel doesn’t have its own venue for breakfast, the nearby café where I could use the breakfast voucher had good options. The room had enough space to open our suitcases comfortably.

New ZealandThe other guests were noisey. Because the rooms are small, there’s a lot of them, close together. We could hear people walking the hall, and talking at 3am. We guessed they had come off a flight and were in a different time zone.
Very close to the airport with a $6 shuttle to the airport. Rooms were cheap and cheerful. Perfect for the night before an early morning flight.

The airport bus was expensive at $6 a trip it should be free, with the hotel being so close to the airport (it was a very early morning flight, and did not feel safe to walk in the dark)
