Pods do get very hot at night even though it wasn't summer at the time. There is a small fan in each pod but this doesn't really seem to do much! Limited floor space in the room for large luggage. Didn't feel overly social but good if you need somewhere for a good nights sleep.

Pods were very private and comfortable. Lots of storage pockets as well as light, power sockets and a mirror! Bathrooms were some of the best I have seen in hostels! Always very clean and plenty of space. Kitchen was also generally clean and large enough to cook sufficiently.

I arrived in Auckland on the 13th, and the girl with glasses and curly hair who received me at reception at noon was very unfriendly, obviously she was very warm to other people, she seemed impatient to answer my questions, but the other people were very friendly.

The facilities are perfect, the bed space is larger than expected, the bathroom is also very quiet, and the roommates are very enthusiastic.

Ideal location for a stay in the CBD, close to all the main areas. Parking available next door, close to shops and restaurants. Lots going on in the hostel but still quiet.

I got a pizza from miss lucys and it was pretty bad tbh, I’ve eaten at miss lucys in Queenstown and the food was delicious but this was so different. The base was like a supermarket undercooked soft bread base and the sauce tasted like tomato paste directly from the can. I did not love it 😬 Also it advertises soundproofing but that’s definitely incorrect

There are no windows in the rooms and there were times when it felt a bit claustrophobic and uncomfortable.

Many of the rooms are windowless - this was a surprise to us and should really have been noted when booking the room. Our booking said dinner included but they stopped offering this without letting us know, and a staff member was a bit rude when we queried it

-CHECKING IN AND OUT WITH THE IPAD IS NOT EASIER THAN JUST TALKING TO SOMEONE COMPETENT FOR 1 MINUTE. I had to enter my info again. If I missed something to make it easier, it's not clear, hence not well designed. And the guys at the desk seemed too busy trying to figure out the system themselves. -The room, although clean, still feels a bit empty, cell-like.

-Good location. Close to the CDB and the bus stop, in not a terribly sketchy area. -Clean and comfortable; both the room and the toilet. -Comfortable common areas and nice bar (although the beer selections could improve).
