The kitchen was a bit too small and the staff were pretty stand-offish when approached. Otherwise it was a good vibe.

Piece is above average, and prices in Lucy’s were quite high for backpackers The pods are amazing, but the floor space is limited so when everyone has their luggage out to sort there is little space.

Very few restaurant/ take away options within walking distance. On-site restaurant had limited options and no self service. Pods became quite warm and internal fans weren’t efficient to cool. Slept with open pod during the night so privacy was compromised by heat.

Location is excellent for bus service from AKL and for highways 1 and 16. IMMACULATE facilities. Comfortable beds, nice employees who accommodated special requests. Pods have one USB outlet and one C cable outlet and two NZ standard outlets. Facility is VERY safe with card opening floor, room, bath, and large locker. Shelves, refrigerator and freezer for food storage and pots, pans and utensils provided. Great value,

By far the best Backpackers in Auckland. Realy friendly and helpful staff, great pod style beds that were really comfy - my only issue was that I am 6ft5 so I had to stick my feet out the pod to fit in!!

Loved having the bar and food menus. The facilities were lovely and clean. Staff were very friendly and helped very efficiently. Room size was quite small but was good to have a locker that fit a big suitcase in.

My pod was far too warm with no air, I had to email during the night to which a fan was brought up - which was ideal apart from I then had to sleep with my pod door open which then wasn't private at all.

Good location, also a good social area with a bar that sells some snacks! The bathrooms were also lovely, lots of space.

A 24 Hour access to the Snacks vending machine will be great. An optimum room temperature of 18-19 degrees especially during the challenging summer conditions will go a long way in ensuring a sound sleep; An optimum room ventilation would help the occupants bring down the temperature to a larger extent from the prevailing temperature of 26-28 degrees, which is a health hazard and will help us avoid keeping the room's door open during the night, which itself is a nuisance ( Occupants of 4 other rooms next to my room 119 had to keep their door open during the night to ensure an optimum ventilation). The above can be expected out of the most expensive hostel in the country or else the whole purpose of it being an accommodation facility is defeated if we cannot get a sound sleep.
