Although familiar with the kiwi long drop, the composting toilet was a new experience for us.

Location suited us, peaceful, quiet with a great view, good facilities provided, the kitchen with views and a shower that was always hot, the basic Kingfisher hut was excellent value for money.

I got wifi when I went close to the main building but didn't get in the hut. We were happy to use outside dry toilet but you need a torch even daytime.

Stunning views, very comfortable hut and friendly host. Outdoor kitchen has a BBQ, a gas cooker and a fridge. The view from the kitchen is amazing.

Great hosts,and ultra accommodating.Were able to check me in earlier due to unforeseen circumstances.Hosts were very understanding of illness that needed extra care. 360° views were breathtaking and friendly chickens were an added attraction.

Everything! Great location, easy to drive to and from. Clean and comfortable facilities. Spectacular view with very friendly hens that pays you a visit every now and then. Friendly staff that's very helping to meet your needs. Highly recommended and will certainly come back again ☺️

The host was very welcoming and explained all the facilities. My room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the water-saving basin over the toilet. The bush shower was lovely! I also enjoyed the hens wandering by. It was very peaceful and quiet with beautiful sea views.

The 360 degree views overlooking the water are phenomenal - fantastic place to watch a storm or a sunrise. Grant is a great host and the Kingfisher hut was the cosy and comfy sleep I needed after a busy long weekend.

Couldn't close loo door when using it which wasn't a biggie but some might not like that. Didn't use shower but if abit bigger would've been good.

Cute rustic and full of character. Stayed in the little hut. Clean glamping. Beautiful views and sunset. Friends stayed in one of the units with the usual facilities so we had best of both worlds!

There were cobwebs everywhere. We found things on the floor from previous guests so it wasn’t vacuumed well. It was missing cutlery and drinking glasses. Internet was provided but it didn’t work at all.

The extreme heat in our room. About 4 hours in, I realised the heat pump was broken & all the warm air was pumping straight back into our room.

Booking photos were very misleading. Booked a 'one bedroom chatlet' but was given a painted shed called the kingfisher hut. Dirty sheets/mud on the bedding. Outdoor toilet did not have water in it to flush. Despite the misleading photos, the host kept saying "this is what you paid for". We did not end up sleeping at this accomodation.
